i have no problem with cig-e-likes as a product and they do work well and many people are very happy with them ...i have a problem with the totally inflated prices the vendors are asking for a prefilled carto ...its daylight robbery e-lites for example 5 x disposables for £40 5 x prefilled cartos for £20 its cheaper to smoke !!!! I agree Gordy , I wouldn't have started vaping without the lookalikes, but they would never in a million years get me off the cigs I started with the cheapest I could find and after a month I worked out that if I switched to them I would be roughly breaking even ( they were also the best performing I found so the getting what you pay for argument doesn't work) . On the same note though apart from the price I wouldn't knock them. I've found reducing my cig intake a mental experience as much as anything else and if smokers need something that looks and acts like a fag to get them off smoking its a start then its a start..... But you can't take away from the actually wanting to quit,I was a bit ambivalent about it which is why my quitting has been a slow process but if it wasn't for our "enthusiast" site I would still be a full time smoker who occasionally vaped on the other hand I'm now an occasional smoker who is a full time vaper . I will talk to anyone who listens about vaping but smokers don't take it seriously unless they want to quit and non-smokers don't care . I can honestly count on three fingers the people who have told me how well I've done (outside this forum) and I have yet too so see someone in Edinburgh vaping which is sad given that it is a major U.K city and the capital of Scotland, but I will keep trying and answer the occasional questions I'm asked with a smile and enthusiasm without pushing it down peoples throats as there is nothing worse than an enthusiastic evangelist !! Edit to add I do think I've gone a bit off topic ...... and to answer Hissies question I think that too many lookalikey's turn up in google searches and if you find that isn't hitting the spot then it takes a determined person to find sites such as this one that will find forums such as this one to point them in the right direction but once you get here a bit of healthy competition doesn't go a miss , but it is getting here I found it a labour-intensive process and I'm surprised that me being the lazy sod I a didn't just try a few look alikes then go back to the cigs

Sam you're right. i guess we all have to band together, vaper and vendor alike to protect what we have and protect growth

I know of 4 major vendors that are expanding their presence into physical shops over the next few months and also CAM-VIP is piloting stocking pubs with 'all the essential consumables' for vapers as well as 'cheap into kits' for smokers. The future is looking bright i'd still like to see disposable e-cig vending machines in pubs

exactly Kirsty... some look-e-likes work well and are perfect for an alternative to smoking... as with a lot of people i was very sceptical of e-cigs and thought i'd give it a go even if i managed to cut down then it would be a bonus ...i didn't and still don't want to stop smoking

10 motives have been trying to get ecig vending machines into pubs for 2 years now with seemingly minimal uptake. They regularly advertise heavily in the 'Morning Advertiser' the pub trade magazine.
The problem they will have Gordy (and Matchless for that matter) is they are trying to charge the same for a disposable as an entry level rechargeable with two cartomisers. Disposables are way too expensive for what they are. Daz (safercigs) has been trying to get a good diaposable that we can get into pubs for £3 a go - he's been struggling. It is only at that price point that you will get more people giving them a go in Pubs!

If we have say 20 UK vendors all selling the same stuff, is this really variety? Yes, it's variety, but only insofar as each vendor brands the same product with their own name and it's damn confusing! > You got them talking, Hissie

That's were the irony comes in, you have to smoke outside yet pubs can still sell cigarettes.
