AN observation from the other side, if I may, about the "Guests" and "lurkers" - those who may or not create a login, but who read what has been posted.

Years ago (a bit over 4) being a heavy smoker, I was looking around for an answer that didn't involve NRT since that had already proved ineffective for me. I read all I could from a number of different places, but I settled on and read extensively from an Aussie Forum. Without creating a login, I found huge amounts of important info - what works, what to order, how to order, where to order from (and remember - we don't have B&M shops with nic juice handy) and how it all works. I made 4 months off the smokes before I eventually created that login. No posts - yet those people who talked about their various vape issues provided me with what I needed.

I am sure there are many others who have done similar and I've no doubt it's occurred plenty with this forum too.

Your posts and replies likely will help more than just the one person who asked the question.

Got some email notifications tonight from a long ago group message. This place helped me over the years so much. Haven’t vaped for two years now, haven’t smoked for over 5. The advice I got here helped me to my goal and I’m still giving advice to mates who are vaping.

When I first commented on this subject and about the number of members this forum says it has, I felt that others who read the forum may be expecting too much.

The latest figures are now saying we have 9,548. That is a helluva lot, but how many are still active?
How many have posted anything at all in the past year?

I realise that many folks get a lot of help from this forum without ever joining in at all and that is good, but I simply wish that we could be a bit more up front about the approximate actual numbers who regularly participate in our group discussions.
This would attract both the ones that are looking for specific information and also the ones that would be put off by a perceived huge group which overwhelm them with uncalled for "good advice".
