Got some email notifications tonight from a long ago group message. This place helped me over the years so much. Haven’t vaped for two years now, haven’t smoked for over 5. The advice I got here helped me to my goal and I’m still giving advice to mates who are vaping. LTNS dickyg ! Haven't you done well. Hope you're still enjoying that motorbike of yours . . . . I remember clearly the discussion! Hi Perps I’ve had a few different ones since we last spoke. The current one is off at the menders after a crash two weeks ago, not my fault obviously. I’ll now await the told you so!

Not from me dickyg, nothing is without risk - certainly some of the more pleasurable pursuits in this world anyway . . . . . at least bikes and cars can be mended or repaired, people are a little more tricky to fix. Hope you're well and in one piece.

When I first commented on this subject and about the number of members this forum says it has, I felt that others who read the forum may be expecting too much. The latest figures are now saying we have 9,548. That is a helluva lot, but how many are still active? How many have posted anything at all in the past year? I realise that many folks get a lot of help from this forum without ever joining in at all and that is good, but I simply wish that we could be a bit more up front about the approximate actual numbers who regularly participate in our group discussions. This would attract both the ones that are looking for specific information and also the ones that would be put off by a perceived huge group which overwhelm them with uncalled for "good advice". lobeydosser that sort of info isn't available to show in the forum statistics. However, if you click on the "Members" tab & then click on "last online, that will give you an idea of how many members still look into the forum (Wont show the ones that prefer to be hidden though)

Thanks ChrissieYes I have been looking at our Members Lists, especially those that do not post at all. Take for instance page 25 where, of the last 11 members who have failed to post anything in the past year, we find 2 that have moved on, 1 that posted 309 times and one that posted 10 times. That leaves us with 7 members that failed to post anything at all. Yet of all of these 11 entries, 9 of them are still counted as members of the Forum. This ofcourse is just one very small sample from one fairly random page that happens to be one year old. Yet I hae ma doobts if we ever hear from any of them again. If I was looking at a Forum that had a bona fide 9,548 members, I think I would be steering clear of it in case I got inundated with a mountain of email notifications to any questions I asked of the Forum Members. Fortunately I have been around the Forum long enough to know that published figures do not represent the true nature of the "facts".

My last memory of the forum was the Homebase refund debarcle by another user. Certainly devided opinion!

Hi all im still about i have to admit facebook has taken over abit with all there groups and i am a bit of a lurker on there and here, i was after some information about billet boxes and thought where/who can i ask and AAEC was my answer. Ive been a member since 2014 when i first got off the stinkies and it is this forum to thank for that all the advice i needed in one place, i pop on from time to time or when i can remember can sit for a few hours just reading through the posts and threads, just not as active as i should or would like to be. I come on here for my latest question as i know i wont get ribbed for it and will get the information i need, such a friendy and neutral forum and thats what i like
