Do flavourings have best before dates, and do people adhere to them?

Yes, the bottles should have "best before" dates on them. These are not "use by" dates.

Probably yes to BBD dates and no for adhering to them for me personally. If they smell ok and taste ok Ill go for it.

Don't mind any notice to the dates at all, sniff test, lick test, mix it up All that's happened to a couple I've used is that the potency has waned a little that's all so I just use a tad more in the mix.

Good, and thanks for the replies. I need to have a clear out, and when I first started vaping, I bought a load of flavours, never used most of them as far too lazy, and am now just using premix flavourings, so didnt know if I should bin them, or offer them on the freebie thread. Will have a sort out soon and offer them out, obviously popping the dates of them on too, as they are old.

I'll let you know in about 8 years time when I open the last of my flavour bottles.

Some flavours do peak off over time, or really go ' off ' . . . . . but you'll soon know davemorton by giving them a neat taste test. I've concentrates that are probably 4 years old at least, which are still fine while others have spoiled. But by and large I take no notice of best before/use by dates on anything.

I think best before dates are set by regulations and aren't acuurate as far as how the flavours last. Coffee and fruit don't last so long - lemons an exception. Backies I happily use after their sell by date.

I have lots past their dates - if they smell/taste OK, I use them. Did clear out a set of UK Flavours samples that were a year gone - but they never really tasted great even when they were new...

My most expensive flavour (CCW Cream)has no date marking. But doesn't keep at all well. After about a year it turns nasty.

Best before is advisory it's use by that matters more.
