no taste on any juice

I use innokin ecigs with iClear30 tanks and 2,1 dual coils from Myepack but gradually over time I appear to have lost all my taste no matter what juice I use, I can still taste food and drink but not any juice at all, I am 78 and I wonder if it's to do with my age yet like I said I can taste food and drink, is there anyone else in my age gap experiencing this problem? if so I would really like to hear from them, it's so damn frustrating, I use a 6 or 8 nic, a 12 or above gives me head aches, would appreciate any suggestions. Definitely not age related most vapers suffer the 'vapers tounge' scenario at some point.
Try googling vapers tounge youll get a varied selection of suggestions that may help out.

if your on the same juice for ages without changing to something else then it could well be vapours tongue.
usually a strong menthol or something like heisenburg usually kickstarts the tastebuds again.
i use custard for my all day vape at work for the last 2.5 years but as soon as im home ive got 12 other mods and tanks with a different flavor in each and i rotate.

I'd also consider a change in equipment as well jamesrd . . . . you might find a ' bottom fed ' tank is better at delivering a more flavoursome vape for you.

Or at least rotate one in between using your iClear30, top coils can strip flavour out a little.

Something like a Geni or Aero tank, which both use the same stock coil heads, or even a Nautilus.

Hi jamesrd I am 70 of age and for the past 3 years I have only used Eleaf 20w mods and 5ml Nautilus tanks.
I have 5 on the go each day.
My main one is a Liquorice/Caramel mixture called ROYAL and is made by FlavourArt.
My "secondary's" are Tangerine, Choco/Limes, Tuity Fruity and Spearmint/Menthol.
These are used at various times of the day and evening, depending where I happen to be at any time.

All my e-juices are made up with the same strength and the same wattage is used for the Royal at 5w and all the rest at 6w.

I smoked cigarettes for 49 years, so I'm not looking for anything special from e-juice flavours. As long as I'm getting my nicotine fix with a pleasant taste, that is all I ask.
If taste is more important then you will spend a fortune chasing that, but I much prefer my taste to come from food and drinks.

Finally, I found an Atty and a Tank system that suited my tastes and needs and I stuck with that.
No more buying every odd Mod that comes onto the market and in doing so I have built up a goody amount of spares, enough to keep me Vaping for many years to come.

Hi jamesrd I'm not in the same age bracket, still a whippersnapper at 50 but I regularly get bouts of 'no flavour', its not long term single flavour vapers tougue either. Had that from trying too many flavours, its just mehhh.

Summer heat, humidity and hayfever do it for me, I lose all but the most robust aromas. Although I'm no longer left gasping I would guess that my nose and sinuses aren't otherwise desensitised since I stopped smoking.

Also any dental issues, medication ( a course of anti-biotics left me on menthol for long enough to actually like it).

Unless you can't taste it already, a week or two or 5 of a 50/50 menthol is the usual course to take.

I'm far to new at vaping to have anything as advanced as 'vapours tongue' and thankfully am a bit younger than 78. I do however have days when 'nothing' really hits the spot taste wise and it can be disappointing and frustrating. I tend to share Lobeydosser's view that as long as I am getting the nicotine hit to keep of the fags that will do. When I read what some of you vape, I shake my head in disbelief that it could possibly work, then having said that I am currently vaping Grapefruit and shaking my head at myself.

Thank you all for your helpful advice, I've always vaped tobacco juice but just recently I tried strawberry and I got a slight taste of the fruit but it did not last long, I might give menthol a try even though I hate the taste and smell but I'll try any damn thing just to be able to taste, one of my favorite  

juices was French Pipe but now I no longer taste it, so bloody frustrating. thank you all, Jamesrd

If you want to try a menthol I have 100mls of sniper by general juices, its supposed to be cola with added zing but tastes like cinnamon menthol to me.
I wont be vaping it but am reluctant to bin it if you want 10ml sending your way to try FOC drop me a PM and Ill post it off to ya.

Vapers tongue is a nightmare.
Sometimes I'm testing flavours and I've had like half a dozen all of a sudden taste like nothing!
Very annoying 😈😂

I really disliked menthol, wouldn't smoke methol fags either.
Now I've got a big bottle of the stuff and chuff away on it when I'm out and about. Upped the strength too for an icy blast

Being dehydrated seems to effect the taste for me. Keep your hydration up
