Just gotta find some time from work.

Macca, not to be condescending in any way but I remember saying hi to you on the forums a few months ago and I think you were just getting into ecigs looking for advice. Now, you're some kind of ecig engineer showing me what's out there. It's cool to see you've gotten into things so well so fast Maybe a bit awkward but I've not bumped threads with you since I don't think Keep up the good work my man! Jeez, ya leave for a few months and there's 348738473847 new ecig parts out there. Where's my credit card...

Lol Leftfield I remember you kindly advising me about the KR808-D1 and I got into learning to fix them with help from many in this forum, just as I was getting bored with fixing computers and needed a new hobby.. I think you need about 348738473846 of those if members of this forum are to be believed.

You get paid for that? It's what I do but I don't get paid > People like to give me their broken laptops and hope I can fix it. Last night I got given a laptop wot got dropped and wouldn't start. Easy fix though, just pulled the HD out, slammed it into my PC, ran a dskchk and then I could get into the repair menu and reinstall the OS from the recovery partition. Stick all their files back on and there you go, working laptop I have no idea how much it would have cost to have had a shop repair it but I'm sure it's more than nothing. They were going to go to the place that charged almost £200 to remove a virus. £200?! I would have done it for a beer I hear it's next to impossible to get into that line of work, even with a bit of paper that says you're qualified to do it. Dream job

No, I don't get paid for fixing computers..I build and repair them as a hobby for family and friends..
I enjoy it actually. But I am having a lot of fun with e-cig mods right now.

Aw, was so going to ask how to get into it. I've only built my pc. I'd be cool to build one if anyone asked but most people I know think facebook is 99% of the internet and don't need something high spec. Boo I'll have to leave the modding to the pros though, not my cup of tea. I just want to buy 'em

You could have a look at Dixons (PC World) or in Dell to see if they need any hardware peeps as a starting point. .Maybe even a Tech store advisor at a retail shop and then you could move on to bigger and better things.. www.dixonsretail.com/dixons/en/joinus/opportunitiesThey are always on the look out for people to join them..

Where I live, there's a Tesco and a few hotels XD I wish there was a dixons or pc world or something. I'll get there one day, need to get that piece of paper that says I'm able to do it before I can go there I think. Have a few friends doing IT courses and it's nothing difficult, just need that paper and some luck

There will be alot of small businesses around you leftie that will be lost if their computers break down. Think of all the B+Bs etc. a local man that can pop in and sort them out? I see a business opportunity Don't forget also small charities and voluntry orgs, all rely on computers now but don't have inhouse technical guys

There is one computer hardware store here. It's run by the one guy. Tiiiny place, blink and you'd miss it. Might have to go in and talk to them soon and see if they can at least give me some work experience. Asking around, it seems having experience is worth a ton in that line of work. Kinda like photography - need an agent to get paid, need to be getting paid in photography to get an agent XD Funny world sometimes. But yeah, I'll go ask the guy what's up and see if they can't at least let me sit in and watch so it can go on my cv
