There is one computer hardware store here. It's run by the one guy. Tiiiny place, blink and you'd miss it. Might have to go in and talk to them soon and see if they can at least give me some work experience. Asking around, it seems having experience is worth a ton in that line of work. Kinda like photography - need an agent to get paid, need to be getting paid in photography to get an agent XD Funny world sometimes. But yeah, I'll go ask the guy what's up and see if they can't at least let me sit in and watch so it can go on my cv Good idea..Nothing beats experience..Not even a piece of paper which says you are qualified to do something, though it helps.. Karma's idea of running your own business is very good too..You can advertise in local free papers as a PC Doctor no call out fee and see where that takes you..Four call outs a day at £25 a pop and you're looking at 500 quid a week. Not to be sniffed at.. I would also learn and pursue website building and website design. Sign for a free websharing account and get familiar with all the popular open source CMS's like wordpress, Joomla etc.,. Then you can buy your own host for pennies and design, host and maintain websites for local businesses too. Quite lucrative as very undemanding once you get the hang of it. It is my fallback profession if I am out of a job..

I agree with Macca, nothing beats experience, however if you did want to brush up some skills you should be able to get an ILA grant to cover some costs www.ilascotland.org.uk/ILA+Homepage.htmyou can search for courses from that site, many are part time or home study/internet based

Back to the E1s for a bit I have mine here at work, the first one fired straight away but the second was dead so I dismantled the bugga and noticed that the brass washer wasn't making contact with the battery post. Solution, prize out the washer a fraction and re-fit. Fired up straight away, shouldn't have to do this though >

The center pin is it's achillies heel..I slid a thin and tiny stainless washer under the contact piece and trapped it lining up the holes..Problem solved..

Yep, figured that and found a small brass shard that I've wedged into the battery post. WTF were they thinking when they designed this ???

Poor quality, nice flavour when you get one working right but really not worth the bother. Consigned to the "if all else fails then maybe" drawer back to my nova for a cheap re-buildable tank and my visions.

I noticed that and had to switch sides for the base..But I am getting very good flavour from it so I am still using it for now.. It's too much of a rebuildable and comes apart too easily.. I got some modding planned, with them so whosoever bought it and wants to bin it, please bin them my way..

They look interesting King . . . although I can barely keep up with all the new stuff right now. As soon as something is launched, it's virtually obsolete and the V2/3/4/5 is released!
