Mine came from Jason but I'd used it for a month so I'm happy with that

I ve had over 30-40 of them pass through my hands in various states of disrepair..Never seen that happen. Very unusual. Might be a bad batch supplied as part of a kit or something..Really strange..Contact VE and I am sure he'll do right by you..

I've had 9 altogether from there and this one was from the first batch. It's the only one to do this so far. Maybe I was a bit heavy handed, I don't know but I'll just chalk it down to experience

That vision doesn't appear to have any ml markings on it. I thought all the vision egos did?

I would have put it down to experience too if I'd had them longer than five days. Jason has emailed me to say he is sending a replacement, bless him!!

Yeah I did mean yours, the markings must be hidden in your photo. I just wondered if you had a cheap knock off. When you do up the mouthpiece you only need gentle pressure anyway because otherwise it pins the wick and stops juice getting to the coil. I wiggle it from side to side gently so it seats properly on the silicone cap inside and do it up so it just gets a decent seal on the cap inside. You could have had a dodgy one, I expect the plastic moulding isn't perfect on all of them. Another example of brilliant cust service from jason!

Apologies for hijacking this thread, but I just made my very first attempt at cleaning a rainbow, and I've experienced something similar. I filled it with hot (about 1 minute off the boil) water, let it stand for a few seconds, then went to pick it up to swish the water around inside a bit, and the metal collar slid right off. Nothing has snapped. The indented end of the plastic body is intact, as in Macca's picture: I assume the hot water has just melted away whatever glue was holding the collar on. Now, macca said earlier: That collar will just press back in..No need for any glue.. However, I cannot secure the collar back on. I can slide it onto the indent, and it will sit there as long as it's upright, but it is not fixed in place. It will slide right back off. Any suggestions? ???

It's possible that it warped with boiling water..Use hot water from the tap for cleaning and that's more than sufficient..
I am sure you are pushing it in the right way round. The threaded portion points to the sky and the smooth portion is a push fit..It should not slide, it needs to be pressed in all the way till you cannot see that step..There should also be a silicone washer which should be trapped between the step on the tube and a step inside the collar where the threads begin..

Peeps, stop usin boiling or near boiling water to clean these, water that is hand hot is plenty hot enough, a couple of swish throughs and job jobbed.
