Bad day.......advice please

So....went to a wedding yesterday, I knew it was going to be a long day, postie delivered me a parcel 10 minutes before we were due to leave the house - result. In said package was 50ml of dekang RY4 from here - www.electro-ciggie.co.uk/Dekang-E-liquid--50ml-.html - excellent next day delivery btw, so opened the bottle, got the familiar RY4 smell, loaded up 2 brand new V2 stardusts that I ordered from britvapes last week, put 1 in my suit pocket the other in wifey's mini, but perfect length handbag. Got to the church, went to have a vape, nothing, light keeps flashing on my ego batt, not the low batt light just a double dim flash. Put it down to a dodgey stardust, nevermind, I will vape the other so I fired up the other and got the worst tasting vape ever, just chemicals and rubber. Put it down to the pre fill stuff in the stardust, so did the suck/blow for a couple of draws but it's still there. I have now done .5ml through it but am still getting the worst taste ever on top of that, it starts gurgling and actually fires a drop of red hot juice on to my cheek through the mouthpiece. I have got 5 of these V2 long wick jobbies and 50ml of RY4 that I am really unhappy with, what should I do? Go back to the vendors and explain? I have used the V1 stardusts for a couple of weeks to this and been very happy with them, could they be making the juice taste shit or could it be a bad batch of juice, like I said it smells right.

Sorry for the mega rant, hopefully someone has had a similar experience,

Thanks for that annie, the price is good and like I said delivery was spot on. Do you let yours steep? It smells as it should.

I always leave Dekang steep, leave it opened in a cool dark safe place for a week, (I always buy Dekang in advance and leave it for at least a week)

No not found a need to steep it, some people I know that buy from there do steep and also leave the top off for a couple of hours.
I have bought a few other flavours too and found them very good, in fact their menthol is the best I've tried so far. Like you said service is excellent too.

Funny thing is...... i love all my RY4's but cannot hack them in a stardust or clearo ???

They are direct dripped or in a carto with me, funny how we are all so different

I think there is a moral to the story though, if you are going to be out all day, take a tried and tested set up and juice

Frosty have you tried the new juice in an older, known-to-work stardust? That would at least tell you whether it's the juice that tastes off or if it's the new stardusts

That is true...

By my carto experience it would appear to be more a carto and wicking prob than anything else....

Might be worth buying a packet or two of kangers/boges for sos...I know some folk are avid fans of stardusts but still....it's a choice you have to make

I have the same spurting out hot stuff with my boges in my tank when it's not wicking right

I've just had this experience..(cos I'm tired and can't get my head round priming and attaching new cartos )...


If you had a boge or a kanger such like you'd find it was flooded... So therefore I conclude the vision ego must be getting the juice too quick (on the wicks)...

I suggest making your juice thicker by adding more vg. That should fix it. If not could be a bad carto...

This should slow down the wicking and like hopefully get it sorted. Might be worth a quick PM to Gordy as well He knows about these things

I should think the long wicks on the V2 Visions are taking longer to absorb and become saturated in juice MMF . . . I wouldn't attempt to make your RY4 thicker, as that will inhibit wicking and also dilute your flavour down.

You may well find it's 3 or 4 fills before you get some real flavour coming through.

Plus as Sandra says it may need steeping a bit longer, I find with our GB orders, if there's a quantity of juice in the parcel, the chemical smell is quite overpowering at first with Dekang, but it does dissipate after a short time.

Thanks people, must admit, I was close to knocking it on the head. Fortunately, Storm sent me a sample of his lovely diy RY4 which has kept me going for the last couple of days in a old vision I had, but that will be gone by tomorrow lunch. So as it stands, I have 2 full V2 visions, one just makes my battery think it's a disco light, the other I am scared to vape for fear of vomiting and 46ml of Mr Muscle steeping.

frosty I've made you another 20ml but I can't post till monday .. by the time you get it , it should be almost ready to vape , steep time is around 5 days

Storm you are a star, sorry only just seen your PM, it's been a very long day. I have been fixing the garden fence most of the day, I convinced myself this morning it would be a 10 minute job. It turned into almost 10 hours.

Does anyone have any ideas about the vision that is making my batt flash dimly? If I screw it one thread it seems to want to fire, any more just a dull flash.
