That WeTab looks awesome!! How quick is it running win 7? Anyone managed to get iOS on one? Love my iPad 2 but since ive replaced the screen as my kid dropped it, the WiFi recption is not to good so cant go far from my router!!
You say you brought a RAM stick for it, what else is upgradable?

With a 2GB RAM it's quite quick because of the SSD..
I think you can upgrade to a 64GB SSD..Forgot to mention, it comes with normal size USB ports..The screen is older technology but I am ok with it. It's certainly not going to be as vibrant as an ipad or Galaxy Note..
BTW these things are not easy to replace or triple boot and most help is in German so to be attempted by more advanced PC users who know how these thigs go together.
But the base WeTab OS is no slouch and needs no hardware upgrades and performs admirably..

the only reason I thought about getting one was to have a play! Im more advanced than the average PC user, have built plenty of pcs and keep the office system running! No good at german though!
Do they have plans of any new release as I love the iPad display and wouldnt want something that doesnt look as good but do like the sound of it! I dont want to buy the "new iPad" either as before to long the "newer than the new iPad(?????)" will be about !!

The WeTab is a re-branded Pegatron slate which is really ASUS..So are all the other brands, Exxo, RM Slate, Claris etc., etc.,
Pegatron is the OEM manufacturing arm of Asus..I don't think the German company that bought, configured and sold the WeTab is doing anything more..
But it's cheap, powerful, sturdy and works very well..And totally unlocked, so suits a tinkerer like me down to the boot..I wouldn't buy an IOS because I don't want Apple telling me what I can or can't do with my device which i paid good money for.

Like knowing all your vape mail has been returned to the post office and you can't pick it up until the weekend . Happy birthday for next week. Is it a special birthday ?

I'm having to wait until my 16GB Nexus is sent out next week. As for the comments about size, I would have to concur wholeheartedly. Reading an iPad in bed is quite difficult after a while (no such problem with the Kindle), so I'm expecting the 7" size of the Nexus to be just right. I'll be slightly miffed if it's not.

The free bus pass will be nice though, Des. Just to whet the appetite, my favourite free apps Kingsoft Office - free office suite, including basic MS file formats Avast security Cool reader Teamviewer7 - controls the PC from anywhere in the house. Simple Notes, for to do lists and generally organising the chaos Best game - Pool master, Osmos HD (not free) I'm normally running my CPU at below half-speed, it's much more powerful than I need 95% of the time. Battery life is now brilliant. Would love to hear your review of the Nexus Des. When yiou get your hands on it of course.
