Well I shall still.vape on public transport..not paying 4 nrt 2 keep me going. In fact vaped on my local bus the other day & no one said a thing!!!
I shall just be polite & courteous & say if it causes any distress then I shall stop doing it. And carry vape cards around with me. Simple.
Someone accused me of smoking only the other day at the hospital. I just whipped out a vape card. Simple.
I think it's neither good nor bad publicity for the e-cig. I mean, maybe stagecoach will now ban them (which would be a shame) but still. It's just about courtesy. In fact I might well email the stagecoach CEO to see his plans on them. Maybe an idea to do it en masse?

at least now, everyone will know that e-cigs exist I only found out about them last April when someone who tried to sell them on ebay had their listing removed and asked why on seller central - when I wanted to know why too I was told to register on this forum If I hadn`t been on seller central that day, I still to this day would not have heard of them everybody is twitchy because of the increase in security beause of the olympic games by the way, you should see the amount of vapour produced by griswalds pick n mix juices in my e-cig

I'm suprised any of our campaigners on here haven't grasped this opportunity to contact Sky, Beeb or any of the other channels to take the opportunity to spread the word about this. I'm pretty sure that they would be interested in how this "box" and "liquid" and "vapour" work and that their watchers would be interested. It may end some of this "ignorance" and make it easier for us all to vape in public without having to stealth vape.

I hope it's not some sort of joke because I replied seriously as a conspiracy theory enthusiast I suppose. I can freely admit I don't believe many theories but I can sure say I'm familiar with pretty much all of them by now. It seems maybe he's taking things on face value or shocked that there was such a huge reaction to just vaping on a bus. I'd be pretty put out if I was surrounded by so many police and had that kind of treatment just for vaping.
I've been stopped by the police for vaping while walking down the street and had my name and address taken as though I'm some drug dealer. They shouldn't be allowed to that and it's only been since the terrorism act that they've been allowed to do it and it's a clear abuse of the law to do so - average joe wearing a "working with tesco" uniform in a village with a population under 2000 people 'aint a terrorist drug dealer if you catch my drift. I'm now on a database as someone who shows suspicious behaviour, against my will and I don't like that. After that, I flat out stopped vaping in public because it was horrible, horrible experience.
I'm really empathetic with what he's trying to say but I'm not so sure it's the best forum to do it on.

The vaper should be grateful a Menendez wasn't done on him. Luckily he was outside the Met.
There are two faults here.
The vaper should have told those nearest or cleared it with the driver - simple courtesy and common sense.
Honestly, the over-reacting and panicky ninny who phoned it in should have their arse kicked.

It may end some of this "ignorance" and make it easier for us all to vape in public without having to stealth vape. It actually points out why you shouldn't stealth, and perhaps should be prepared to explain what you're doing. It seems to me that the preponderance of looky-likies is an issue here. To the uninitiated, the looky-likey looks like a proper ciggy. Hence the term!! And I also suppose that there are folks who are scared they're going to be confronted. The answer seems fairly simple. Don't use a looky-likey, and don't hide what you're doing in places where e-cigs have not been specifically barred. I have a mate who is - let me just say "on the force" and I asked him what he knew about yesterday's events. This is what he told me:

It's not the first time Jason Cropper, TW's owner, has gone off on one He's ranted at members of ECF in the past on his TW sub-forum on there & then ended up deleting everything in the forum
