Mine is brass anyway Lynda, plated with nickel...it is kinda weighty, but in a nice way, i don't mind it at all i dont mind nights...it's when you're then on days with only 2 days in between that kills me....it shouldn't be allowed

They're all 12-hour shifts, they used to do shorter shifts on more days, if you see what I mean, but this is much "friendlier". Nurses have a hard time. scylla

ive followed this thread to some extent. im sort of looking for a new gadget and like the sound of the GGs range. but what one should i get? will they use my SD batts if not what batts do i need? is there any stock in the uk? if there is no stock and lilac will be returning the tarnished one, which i assume will just sit in a drawer somewhere, how much buys the tarnished one (i could even just test it for 6 months ) i know thats a cheeky request, but if its not going to get used someone might as well buy it (not sure what id be buying mind) if this one is not for sale then are there any available and what else do i need to go with it. raggy.............

Hi Raggy, Cam is the UK GG stockist . . . e-cigz.co.uk/store/The two popular current mods are the GGTS & GGTB . . . I'd have a look at Cam's site & Scott's review videos which I've linked too on the little reviews I did . . . have a good watch of them and see what you think might suit you. . . then ask away.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you Raggy, was totally cream crackered last night.
Yes, the GGTB is the more straightforward of the two GG's . . . although once you've got the TS set up, it is more versatile in it's battery capacity.
Just tried my SD MKII batts in the GGTB and they don't fit, they're too large . . . so you would need appropriate batteries & a charger . . . the 14500's are more readily available & cheaper to purchase, the TR-001 charger also is a great universal unit for them.
Although the 14500's don't last a huge length of vaping time, comparable I'd say to the battery life on the SD's batts . . . you could go for the 17650's which will give you a longer time between charges.
As for finishes, I've got the aluminum & the brass TB . . . mainly because I've an allergy to nickel . . . out of the two I prefer the brass as it's heavier and I personally like a more weighty ecig - but they both perform equally well.

hi perpy, i read the batt sizes on cams site, and kinda new mine were no good. where is the best place in the uk to get some decent batts and a charger, i would get them from china but id have to wait too long for them. once i get it up and running i will them order some more from china. i am sort of leaning towards the brass one. there are a few spares on the site ie: rings avs and afs, what are they for and should i buy some. raggy.............

The o rings/avs etc are for the GGTS Raggy, Imeo is currently working on a AVS system for the GGTB so that could be a future purchase . . . . meantime I'd suggest for batteries and a charger either Liberty Flights or Smokejuice, their prices are the most competitive I've found.

Actually it's swings and roundabouts on prices Raggy, Smokejuices TR-001 charger is a little less than LF's but his batteries are more . . . so I'd be inclined to go with LF as you can use our 10% discount code. www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=23They do also do a Li-on charger for the 14500's which is a few pounds cheaper than the TR-001, but again I'd go for the TR as you can charge your SD batts on it . . . and indeed a number of other battery sizes, which could be useful at some time in the future.

perpy ive tried to copy from the LF site but it has not copied all that well. if you can understand it are they the right ones.
Multi Charger
TrustFire TR-001 - AC Input: 100V~240V 50~60Hz - DC Charge Rate: 4.2V 500mA -
Charges the following batteries:
* 10430 * 10440 * 14500 * 16340 * 17670 * 18500 * 18650
Name Images (click to view) Price Stock Buy TrustFire TR-001 43 Reviews (9/10) £7.99 18 in stock
and these batts, im assuming i get the protected ones, but do those fit ok.
14500's
Suitable for devices that require a 14500 battery. Please note, some devices do not fit a protected 14500, an example of this is the MK I E-cig city box mod. For those devices, we recommend the unprotected, slightly smaller 14500's.
The protected 14500's and charger can be used as replacements for the standard batteries and charger that come with the DSE 905.
Please note : The 14500 charger requires a US to UK or US to EU adapter to operate in those regions. these are available on this site under the power adapters section Mods - Batteries & Chargers Name Images (click to view) Price Stock Buy 14500 3.6V Li-ion Battery Charger 16 Reviews (9/10) £3.99 21 2 x LC 14500 Protected 3.7v 900mAh TF 51 Reviews (9/10) £3.99 65 2 x LC 14500 Un-protected 3.7v 900mAh UF 31 Reviews (9/10) £3.99 24

Raggy, I've had a GG Grant for 18 months (as well as my GGTS) & all I can say is that what ever new fangled mod comes out, I doubt I'll be tempted to buy. Both GG's just work - all the time - as simple as that. They are also virtually unbreakable (no bits dropping off) & are sfer than many other mods out there. Easy to use locking button & battery vents.
Yes that TR 001 multi charger is a great charger to go for - again been using one for 18 months.
Go for the "2 x LC 14500 Protected 3.7v 900mAh TF" & £3.99 - I've never had any problems at all with this battery.

thanks chrissie, the reason i ask about the protected ones fitting the GGTB is because there is a mention of them being slightly fatter, could you just confirm please, i fancy the brass one, do you have any opinion on that chrissie or lilac and lynwit. raggy.................
