I'm fairly certain that the 14500 trustfire protected should fit. I wonder if you have the same problem as Igetcha had with his - a tiny metal burr on the inside? See posts 131 & 136 on this thread : -

I saw that, Chrissie, but i don't think thats the problem, the battery drops right down to sit on the spring, but when the telescoping thingy goes on top, it sits higher than in Scotts video, so the top wont screw on completely....still works, i might add, but won't tighten...and i can't get the locking button to lock think i haven't had enough sleep, better go back to bed, lol

wee hee we're getting there....don't have time to examine the tube, etc tonight, but not working for a few days after tomorrow, so will be able to play around with it then, in between hospital visits...

I see you use a 14500, is yours a protected one? mine is the blue Trustfire 900mah one...

It's vaping very well as it is, still getting used to the different button placement tho

That's exactly the battery I'm using in mine Lilac - have you got the false battery screwed up to it's shortest setting?

Although I have to say mine doesn't screw up flush with that battery combo in it there's still a 'turn' showing that doesn't if it's empty and screwed up. Does that make sense at all???!

It vapes happily though so I've not thought anymore of it until now - I'll of course ask if you'd like me to - in the Dragon's Den of Vaping.

It's sooooooooooo scary in there.

They all take flawless professional photo's, have built their own mods out of a piece of car exhaust that work perfectly, vaped on the north face of the Eiger . . . . . the list is endless!

But! I will ask for Lilac if needs be.

yes, Perpy, i know wot you mean, but i think i could have 2 full turns on mine before it'd be as it is when empty...

and i watched Scott's vid to make sure i had the bits in properly....i wondered if my false batt was sticking or something as it doesn't screw together completely, but i see there's a gap on his too...altho i think the attie end screws on as it should in the vid, but he's using an AW 14500, so maybe there's a slight difference in the length?

Meant to say...i've ordered a couple of AW 17670's 1600mah for it, Lisa has them, but hers are more expensive...i got them from here...£9.95 each with free delivery...couldn't find them on the chinese sites, mores the pity..

Just had another look at the vid, Scott says when u have the battery & false battery in the tube, it should be just below the level of the end of the tube...mine sticks up past it a little bit, does yours, Perp?

Was just having one of my am dram moments really Lilacm so don't mind asking really - have you mailed Cam to ask?

There is still a gap in my false battery even fully screwed up . . . . I *think* on the actually vaping demo part of Scott's vid he's using a 17??? type battery ( I forget the exact number ) but DX have them very reasonably - so that could account for it screwing up flush.

I have mailed Cam, not had a reply yet tho..

On the GG forum, they say the AW black 17670 defo fits, thats why i went for that one, but DX doesn't have that make, just Trustfire 17670's, so i decided to play safe, even if it does cost loads more, lol

I'd just booted up the lappy & opened my browser & ECF came up as my last viewed saved tabs (I'd been looking through the GG sub forum last night). I almost clicked on another tab but decided while I was there to check new posts on the main forum & yours was at the top of the page

i got my batts they're ginormous!!! they fit without the false battery.
