I've joined but can't predict if I'll be awake at the time - and it says you must cancel if you can't attend

Also don't have the faintest idea how to use the built-in mike ??? Control Panel isn't helpful ???

It's quite straightforward when you're logged onto the meeting Scylla . . . the admin team have to unmute you and you need to unmute yourself as well to participate in the audio proceedings.

One word of caution it doesn't work very well with Opera - as Roly discovered last night.

I dont think I'm ready to get deeply involved with something, but if there is anything i can do to show support (become a member and be counted ,spread the word,filing... just nothing technical) I'd be more than happy to help out.

For bluecow, see hifi's comment on the previous page. Just go to the link and it will set you up for a place at the next meeting. I'm not sure what roles need filling or what skills are involved but everyone has a chance of getting in. I think the next meeting is to get a steering committee going so ECCA can get the ball moving.

It's exactly that, Lee - the steering committee needs to be set up to actually form the association and begin getting members to sign up - and it's from the members that the working committee will be elected.

It's been suggested that the steering committee be formed of sort of "forum reps" or similar, which seems as good a way as any - at least folks will be actually achieving something and getting the ball rolling properly.
