Well Im not sure how much more I can stick I really don’t I still can’t taste bugger all and iv other flavours like bubble gum cotton candy etc apart from tobacco flavours, and it makes no odds, vaping to me is almost like a medicinal aid now, it really fecks me off when I read other folks describing the flavours they are vaping right now. ‘The animal leathery tones come through’ or ‘Various ashtrays’ etc, and ME. Just hot vapour, I do have some menthol coming as suggested but not holding out much hope at all. Looks like im the only one cursed with no vape taste syndrome, I can taste and smell everything else im eating or drinking, but e juice not a hope in hell. I just don’t understand when I started on 26th Aug this year it blew me away but now I feel I have been worshipping A false god, if it was not for the fact I know I cant go back to GV analogue because I just cant afford it anymore I would have been bathing in baccy by now, in fact it’s a joy when I smell someone tabbing out on rollie so I can smell that delish Virginia bac arhhh.

Kos, I do have a similar problem in that at first I 'get' the flavour I'm vaping but it disappears and I'm left with just a sweetness or nothing. If I put my ecig down for a while, next time I try the flavour is back again. The best flavour I get is 'cigar.' I still won't go back to analogues though as I much prefer vaping even when the taste is not 'all that.' (I vape at around 24mg). Fox

Kos, I really think this is one of the phases of vaping. My first couple of weeks were amazing and then things started to slide. I went from wonderful to tolerable, to horrible, over a period of time and for AGES couldn't taste a thing. The only thing that kept me going was that I can't bear the taste of tobacco now, even tho' I love the smell of freshly smoked cigs. Forget the smell of stale smoke on anybody tho'!! The smell of fresh, unsmoked tobacco is a different thing altogether. Stick with it for a little longer. At least you're getting the nicotine. I've been at this for 10 months now and it's all become a little bit more reliable.
Good luck.

I can only second what Lynda has said Kos, I reckon we all after the first flush of excitement has worn off go through hi's and low's with vaping . . . . walked behind a couple of young people going to school yesterday morning who were chuffing away like trains on cigarettes.

I still on rare occassions spark up a real one and i taste nothing....it does nothing,i get no high off it or satisfaction. But i always remember how they affected my health and pick the E-Cig back-up straight after and vape. Vaping has it's up's and downs, can't taste it,tastes crap, tastes like heaven,OMG great vapour,oh no this atties going there's no vapour but i'd rather have all that than buying 1000 cigs a month! Could you be missing just rolling the baccy etc? Hang in there. Wondered if this might help:- Quote"But i just want to say thanks for suggesting me Warm Hickory! it's definitely a winner to me, very woody/smoky and dry, i like it a lot. This one might be a good choice for all vapers around missing tobacco smoke dryness. " www.liberro.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=167&zenid=r203hfjsg2raf4jcscq9q2vha1

Poor {{{Kos}}} I'm so sorry you're having such a bad time. I don't taste much of anything, except flavours that I don't like - like the dirty ashtray taste you get with some baccy-flavoured juices But most of the time I can't taste the juices after the first couple of puffs. I do get satisfaction when achieving a full-bodied vape when an atty is really working well on a battery with some oomph And I get even more satisfaction when I remind myself that I'm not smoking and stinking the place out and gunging up my innards scylla x

You are all the most wonderful human beings iv ever shall we say had an E contact with, and I have not forgot the kindness afforded to me by Chrissie and others when I started, Have no fear I will not go back to old Skool simply as I can not afford £40 a week anymore, I do agree with Chrissie about taste and smell, so I will stick it out, as if it don't work out Well I will vape just to wean myself off all together I will keep you posted how it goes, and It might help others whom find themselves in this dilemma.

I think I'm in a similar boat to Kos - now 6 weeks since a real cig but recently struggling a bit. Its not that I particularly want a real cig but vaping is not enjoyable at the moment.
Flavours I used to like now taste bland or even unpleasant. Recently I'm finding that I don't even like the feel of the cart in my mouth (strange because that was never an issue originally). I've got a drip tip so am using that more, although they are a pain - I end up removing it to top up.
Hopefully this is a temporary phase. One thing that keeps me going is that, despite spending a lot in the TECC sale, I am now in profit and that will go on increasing.
Good luck kos - hope you can keep off the evil weed.

I started a similar thread a matter of weeks ago. So, it seems that many vapers do experience this & I think it's a case of perserverance. Ecigs are not as convieniant as analogues & sometimes the faffing about with atties and carts can get quite frustrating, doubled with tastless sometimes vaporless juice is a nitemare. Keep battling with it tho', it is worth it & there is nothing wrong with puffing on the odd analogue

Hi,
I was having the same problem re taste.
When the TECC sale was on I bought a lot of bits that I didn't immediately need. Today I tried out a Mega Tornado for the first time.
The improvement in flavour was astonishing. The mega battery is half as big again as the normal Tornado one so I wondered if a larger battery produces a better flavour.
With use, have the smaller batteries not got as much oomph as when they were new?
Do the mods with larger batteries produce better flavour than the less powerful PVs.
Just a few thoughts to contemplate
I'm off to charge up a screwdriver battery so that I can test this theory in the morning.
Keep vaping. We'll crack it one way or another. Liz

Dave, so glad to here you are going to persevere Liz, the Tornado Mega batteries just last longer between charges (higher mAh rating) so aren't more powerful.

Hi Folks im back, well I got some more juice in from james, I can taste the ry4 no probs also tried menthol can def tast that, Beeper makes a good point as I Have been using LR 510 atties on my SD MK2 for the last two weeks and I have now gone back to the standard 510, So a question to the High Volt Vapers, does vaping at say 5, 6, or more volts that you can do in the big batt mods like the golden greek etc, destroy the flavours or ???
