I have been lurking through the forum for the past 5 days, I think I have nearly read it all and liking what I see. On Friday I decided to go with a VE Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit from www.vapeescape.co.uk. This is what I ordered with the discount code (thanks for that): Riva 1100 Kit The VE Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit 30ml Bottles USA Mix 24mg (High) I got the 30ml bottles due to economy, will just have to suck it and see. I now think I should have gone for a watermelon but that can wait, I’m quite partial to a bit of WM. 30ml Bottles Deluxe Tobacco 24mg (High) Vision Ego Rainbow V3 Rebuildable Black 2.4ohm . I did go for the 1.8 but changed it at the last minute. Empty Needle Cap Bottle Money is quite an issue for me, I have been caring for my parents full time for the past 7 years and was starting to think this (hobby) will cost me almost as much as rolling tobacco. I smoke a 50g pack in just over 3 days. I think the problem was that I thought I would burn atomisers out frequently and they were the expensive part, no clue as to where I got that idea from. Being new to all the terminology I seemed to rush over the word Cartomiser and then today I went bing! Now I am even happier with my choice as I thought I would receive 3 atomisers but that turns out to be 7 Things are looking good and I haven’t even started yet. I forgot to tell you why I was here, it’s not about the savings or the health issues, it’s all about my brother and the Olympics. He had a stroke a few years back and can’t walk anymore but he has forever been a football fan. I took him to the football last Sunday at Coventry and it was a 7 hour stint for me, you can’t smoke in there and if you go outside you can’t get back in! My brother kindly gave me one of his (cheap) E-cigs and 3 puffs in and the blinking light of death came on… his died as well, he forgot to charge them. The strange thing is, when I went to the toilet I got a very strong smell of tobacco and decided to go for a number 2. I only put this bit in as another post on here is about Olympic smoking and I will back link to this. I think I may have overkilled for my 1st time order but once I stop I don’t want to go back if I can help it. Also think I should get a Vari. The way I see it I will use the V3 for home use and carts for out and about. Love, The Ant

Hey Any You've come to best the place - and well done for heading down the e-cig route, you'll find to start with and to include capital expense, it might cost about the same or a little bit more than what you paid for your 50g pack of tobacco - I went through 2 -3 a week - and at times I've got a little carried away with buying new things and new juice, but it does settle down - as for the Provari - yes - aim for one of them and a Penelope - I honestly believe it seems to be the golden grail! All the very best, remember there is no such thing as a stupid question, so ask away Cheers

Hello Ant and #welcome2# good choice for a first kit If money is an issue, with careful spending this new 'hobby' should not cost you any more than tobacco and will be so much better for your health Has you brother stopped smoking or is he only using the e-cig for places that you can't smoke? I bet he'll want a go of your new kit any questions, just ask, there's always someone around who will try to help

Hello & welcome Ant You have gone for a really good kit & all the extras will keep you going for quite some time, so not overkill at all So sorry to hear your brother had a stroke & I can imagine that money must be tight with you being a carer for your parents When you need more supplies, keep an eye out on our classifieds board.

Hi and welcome ant, glad you had a good look round before you ordered, as everyone says, you made a wise choice.
Since I went a little mad at the begining I can see too that this isn't really going to be as expensive as I thought now I'm set up, especially against the price of cigs.

Cheers Guys,
Sorry Tim, I meany VARIable voltage, I didn't mean to confuse issues but I'm quite new to terminology. I don't think I will ever afford one of those.
Karma, He stopped drinking and smoking after the stroke, he was on 0ml nic but started using 18ml in the past month due to stress. AND HE CAN KEEP HIS GRUBBY HANDS OF MY NEW KIT!
My choice was all down to this forum :-) Thanks for all the help

Hi Ant,what a good first choice of kit, shows you have been lurking , the vision v3 is excellent just reviewed it myself and your batteries will last all day,I smoked 50g of amber leaf in around the same time, now 12.5 g lasts me 4 days,I had been staying low on the nic level but the other day switched to 20mg non deliberately as I got a Grizwald pick n mix that only came in 20mg,suddenly without trying I went nearly a whole day without one ciggy/roll up.

Ant, once you have got that starter kit you ordered, all you would need to try variable voltage, would be an ego twist battery - www.vapeescape.co.uk/joyetech-ego-c-twist-vv~367No need to even think about going for one yet, but just thought you might like to know they needn't be too expensive

OK guys I may be getting a little ahead of myself, but.... All me-time is spent at the computer. I understand I need to use an AC to USB power outlet. Electronics not an issue. All I need to do is wait for my 1st battery to die then rip it out of the housing, wire up a maplin box with a variable resistor with a capacitor for drain and bingo
You did say no question is stupid! :-)
