I know zilch about electronics Ian, but I do wonder if it is advisable to run something at the very limits of it's capacity, all the time?
Once in a while maybe.

Very good point Perpy,i totally agree. Its just second nature for me now to set a VV mod to 5.5ish volts as thats where i like to vape at.With the kick,i tried all the settings but was only happy with the vape when it was cranked rite the way up.Im sure i can compromise and lower it a little though as that perfect hit every single time was great.

contact Brandon at evolvapor.com - seeing as how he is the inventor and an all-round good egg, he's best placed to advise.

I should say that i win that title hands down lately Scylla.A pile of mods with broken connections,my DID genesis DIDNT turn up and a kick kicked the dust in just a few days of me using it ::)I have loads of wire, mesh, blowtorch etc but no genesis atty to use, so im back to my good old faithful carto tanks.Oh well, atleast i have one good setup thats stood the test of time, everything else has been a load of old rubbish to tell the truth.Nice to see you around btw, dont see you much on here these days

its not just you who was unlucky ian as both mine didnt/dont work.
i bought 2 when they first came out tried one and their was no power coming from it at all, i foolishly put the other one aside without trying it and in the meantime the 1st broken one was replaced but i sold it on straight away, i had forgotten about owning the 2nd one untill yesterday when i was having a sort out and guess what ? that doesnt work either so my experiences with kicks are quite bad and after owning 2 and not even being able to try them i dont think ill be buying anymore

Nice to know Mark,i knew it was a fault with the kick and not user error. You hear people say to strip down your mod, make sure the spring is touching the inside of your mod etc etc BUT i have been vaping long enough to know whats what and i knew that the kick had just simply failed. At the end of the day its easy to use and just a drop in module which isnt rocket science. This one is going fine for now but i still find myself using my dual 18650 mods alot more as the kick doesnt give out anywhere near the power as these bad boys.I like it but im not at all confident that it will last to be perfectly honest, thats why i dont take my kicked legacy out just incase the kicks fails again. Thanks alot for sharing your experience of the kick and its really good to see you around.

Well you've seen the pics of my kick maybe. I put it through alot of torture trying to get it to work and work well. I've yanked at that spring several times, torn of part of the plastic dumped a load of solder ontop. It transpired with mine, I had a tiny blob of black nastiness on the spring that comes from the button. Looked like a bit of carbon build up I dunno and it was tiny. Like only the size of a pin head. Miniscule. And no amount of scrubbing, soaking etc moved it. I had to file it off. Then boooom. I was in. hit after hit and shes been fine. I think it can take a fair amount of moisture or dirt from elsewhere, but that spring in the base or that pin sent mine scewwhiff. So mine was defo user error.
