An atomiser you have to keep topping up with liquid as it can only hold 3 - 5 drops of liquid at a time. It's ok if you want to test liquids more often but it's not a great portable solution. A cartomiser is like an atomiser but it's filled with wadding you can fill with liquid and it can hold 1ml of liquid or so in it so you can vape it for an hour or more without having put more liquid into it. A much more portable solution and more reliable than an atomiser. An atomiser itself is simply a heating coil with a cartridge. You put liquid into the cartridge wadding but it can barely hold any liquid and doesn't feed into the heating coil very well so you often have to drop liquid straight onto the coil manually. Most skip the wadding part alltogether and just drip straight onto the coil - aptly named "dripping" A stardust is a new system for holding a lot of liquid at once. It's like a cartomiser with no wadding. It's a clear plastic tank you fill with liquid and it will go a lot longer without you needing to top it off with liquid. Cheers for the heads-up, that's good info. Cartomisers seem to be the way to go, so I guess I'm ready to order. Any links to the big battery 'mods' that I've seen on the forum? Many thanks to all who have replied, I'm grateful for the welcome and advice!

Thanks for the replies and recommendations, much appreciated.
I'm going for the riva kit, but what else should I order? What is the difference between an atomiser and a cartomiser? What's a stardust?
So much to learn.

Hi,
I switched over to e cigs just 3 weeks ago and can't believe I waited so long!
I'm now looking at some proper Vape kits, riva has been highly recommended, so I'll probably take that route. Can't believe I'm typing all this without wheezing!
Cheers for now!
