Hi,
Not been on in a while, so hi to all!
Last night I took out a Boge 2 ohm cart, filled it in the usual manner, then connected it to a Riva 1100 and tried to use it. It seemed fine until I let go of the power button, at which point it carried on burning. I unscrewed it ASAP, but the damage was done, the battery no longer responds. Not realizing it was the cart at fault, I connected it to my second battery, only to kill that battery too!
This would of left me high and dry, if I didn't still have my minis!
Question is; has anyone else had this happen?
I've e-mailed Jason at Vapeescape, I'll have to wait for his reply.
Cheers everyone,
Clive.

I smoked my last rollie in April, still get cravings, usually when I catch a whiff of someone else's smoke, so I grab my kit and Vape away! Don't feel bad, feel good that you disliked it.

Can't comment on the ego, but the riva 1100 is a fantastic bit of kit. Whichever you choose, stock up on cartomisers and juice! A mains powered USB device is handy so you don't need a pc running to be able to charge, although I also use a 12 volt USB adaptor for in-car charging.
Don't smoke, Vape!

I stealth Vape everywhere, I find it amusing knowing I probably shouldn't be doing it!
As for security, I was allowed to carry my kit into the paralympics, but I had to explain what it was first.
STILL NO CIGS SINCE APRIL 30TH!

Interesting thread, I find general vaping makes my throat dry. Who makes the vg only juices? I'd like to try those myself and see if there's a difference for me.
Apologies for the thread-jack.

My carts don't last long after the initial stint, so I just carry juice and keep topping it up throughout the day, I manage about a week per cart this way.

I've been having to change flavours a lot lately, but that's a good sign, it means your taste buds are reviving after being bombarded by smoke. Just buy a selection of tester bottles and keep trying new flavours.

Mate, don't waste money on baccy or cig-a-likes, get the riva kit, you won't look back as it's a fantastic bit of kit. I use mine heavily and each battery lasts 2 days! I appreciate it's an outlay at first, but after that it's a fraction of what smoking costs.
Vaping rocks! And you live longer!

I'm no techno phobe, but you'd be doing me a favour if you made the avatar for me! Crack on, permission granted!

I think I may start an anti-celery forum, reckon?
Hope the taste buds settle down, but so long as I'm off the stinkies, I'll live, sorry, terrible pun. My bad.

Celery Sucks! Sorry, it had to be said. Thanks for all the replies. I don't even want my rollies now, never thought I'd say that! I just can't wait to grab my PV when I get up, which concerns me as we could all be at the mercy of the government and the tobacco companies by next year. Flavour wise, I'm still looking for tobacco replacement type flavours, but if I'm not smoking, so what? Thanks again, BTW, how do you get those ciggy counting banner things?

Well, I've not smoked since April 30th and I love it! Vaping is just the best invention ever! I'm amazed at how my tastes are still changing! You won't ever get me eating celery, but the vapour flavours I used to lust after just taste a bit meh now, will my taste buds ever settle down completely?

What's an SDK? Checked abbreviations section, but couldn't find it.

Just to add to the condom vid. That fill is a bit quick, you need to push the carto down slowly until the liquid domes at the top, then leave it to soak in for a minute or so then do the same again and again etc. When full, blow through from the mouth end into tissue to clear any excess, fit drip tip and enjoy, or not as the case may be. Don't rush it and you should end up with a nicely soaked carto which should vape well, keep topped up until it shuffles of this mortal coil. Cheers for that. Any advantage in leaving them to 'steep' for a period of time?

If that's aimed at me, I'm an electrical contractor, not a journalist. While on the health risk subject, I just filled a new 3 ohm cartomiser and within half a dozen puffs it tasted burnt, you know the taste I mean. Is this bad for me? Is it a duff cartomiser? Does it just need more juice? I've topped it up and it has improved, just suck it and see? No, it's not aimed at you, just a general point. There were a few journo's sniffing around on UKV a little while back. You probably have not filled it properly in the first place, or if using a VV device are vaping at too high a voltage, probably the first, they need to be kept wet. Is the burnt taste bad for you? What do you think FFS, you are vaping on burning wick/wire. If you keep vaping on said wick/wire it may well give you a sore throat and make you feel sick, so don't do it. Gotcha, obvious really. Anyway, it's not VV it's a Riva 1100, cartomiser is ( I think) a boge item. It doesn't seem as bad now, so I'll just keep it topped up and see how it goes. What is the expected life-span of these? Is a constant burnt taste the signal to bin it? I've not binned any yet, as I'm still a noob, I'm trying lots of different flavours and as such have about half a dozen on the go at the moment, still looking for the perfect taste.
