It's also down to the coiling process. Your coils must not be touching each other, they must be spaced with equal distance between, and they must not be too tight or too loose - I used to find the same funky taste was down to my coils being too loose - just the one turn maybe, on the end - there'd be a slight gap between coil and wick, and this caused funky badness. Really examine your coil closely. The slightest imperfection can bollocks up a coil. My two pence.

Tests have been done, a guy in New Zealand did extensive research on it with an accompanying paper. He concluded that it was safer than smoking and kind of safe in general. Quite convincing evidence.
But he didn't go into wick detail, which is what I'm interested in, so I think it's still valuable to pose questions like this.

Just wanted to share some baby news, since some of you on here might remember the gory conception details from a while back. So last week my pregnancy symptoms - constant lethargy, vague womby sensations - suddenly disappeared, and natch, I got myself into a right worry. Then last Sunday I had a bit of bleeding, not much, but enough to multiply that worry, and my GP referred me for an early scan. Which was yesterday. And oooh, it was a horrible day, Monday, waiting for the appointment, and I had all this awfulness in my mind - like, though I've kept my coffee intake to the recommended daily dose, maybe I should have abstained completely, and though I've been vaping really low nic mg, maybe I shoulda just quit, and though I've kept my drinking very moderate (the occasional bottle of lager or glass of stout), I should have just gone without...and I kept up with karate, without the fighting bit, obvs, and - well, worry worry worry. I spent Monday watching back to back episodes of Sons of Anarchy to keep my mind distracted....kinda worked actually. Nothing like guns n motorbikes n big tits to keep one's mind off things. So me and the dad went for the scan, the dad filling the car with Bobas and me chewing my fingernails like no one's business, and I waited in the waiting room with a horribly full bladder and ... ... and the baby's fine! 10 weeks, a teeny little alien thing with little arms and a heartbeat like a drum n bass track. PHEW! Thought I'd share my good news with y'all.  |

Oh, and I also managed to finally get my VH drippers coiled and wired to perfection. Tell you what, re-coiling vivi and stardust heads is fab practice.
Sorry if I sound smug, but I've had over a month of crappy vaping and juices grossing me out, so it's nice to finally get my vape on in a satisfactory way.

Well I did have the original recipe written down but I've since added extra drops of this and that so am not 100%. I do know that it's PA coconut, PA chocolate and PA bavarian cream. And it's lovely. Reckon a smidge of marshmallow wouldn't hurt, so might order some of that. I'll be sure to post some recipes when I've got em down to perfection.

Never thought you were ratty lol. It's just that I have concentrated more on the ecig paraphernalia that holds the juice more the the devices that power them. Personally all mods to my mind are fancy battery holders at the end of the day. I'd rather concentrate on getting my flavour and vapour right. Amen. But it is nice to find a mod that will last more than 5 minutes. And my vamo did only cost £17. My ego twists etc have all died short pathetic deaths. |

After almost a year it's calmed down for me. Just quite happy to stick to what works well. So there is hope.
It's the men I worry about. They so like they're gadgets and gizmos, don't they? I mean, you don't get many women buying What Hi-fi, do do?

Cheers for the advice. I ended up 'borrowing' my sister's vodka and thinning my VG down with that. The VG base seems thin enough already, it was my plain old VG that needed thinning. I've made a couple of juices, and tried one this morning. Chocolate coconut cream. Pretty bloody tasty actually. I'm well chuffed. |

I'm just about to try mixing my own juice today, using e-juice me up, which is a fab little app by the way, and I'm wondering how much alcohol I should put in.
I'm using VG nicotine base (54mg) and my flavourings are all PG. Also got some VG and PG on hand, and some vodka. I intend for mixes to be around 80 VG 20 PG.
I'll want to add vodka to thin it out a bit, but no idea how much. What's everyone else's experiences with this? I see from Grizwald's massive thread on mixing that he mixes his VG with 20-25% booze. But looking at my VG nic base, it's quite thin already, more sloshy than gloopy.
Also, I've got some spiced rum i was hoping to use instead of vodka, for some recipes. I can't imagine it'll make much difference to flavour, but it won't hurt, will it?

That bit is for the desired pg/vg outcome. So if you want it 80% PG, you put in 80, and then it tells you how much you need to add.
If you don't have any PG, you need to buy some. Your nic boase is 52 nic mg, which needs diluting down. So yes, on top of all those things you bought you need plain PG and/or VG.
But if you don't want extra PG in your juice, because you already have VG, then you just leave that PG box blank, and put a number in the VG box instead.
Pg can be bought online. If you're in a rush, you could get some VG from Boots or Tesco or Asda instead. You can get it in the pharmacy section, it'll be called Glycerin, I believe, and it's cheap. And you can then dilute it with alcohol if you want it as thin as PG.
And you might even be able to get PG from these same places, but I'm not sure.
