I was in a similar situation to you by the look of it. This time around I bought a subtank mini and an Istick 50w. Full lung hits at 6mg did it for me, couple of days and no more cigarettes... Since then of course the addiction kicks in, now got more mods than a mod shop and a gaggle of subtanks, but hey, much better than smoking

Had a nice concentrate delivery since first kicking off this thread & a few of the mixes are ready to vape. I tend to keep most of my mixes in a steeping drawer, but the "current" ones are on my computer desk. So on the desk this morning I have Custardy Lovechild, Unicorn Milk clone, Gambit clone, Black N Blue, Strawberry Milkshake & Raspberry Cheesecake. My wife has lost lost her dependence on Red Astaire & is doing some serious damage to my dessert flavour stocks. We had a tasting session yesterday, to decide which ones are keepers, having to use a spreadsheet to keep track. As usual there were some gaps in my stock of concentrates, so another order was made. Going to need a few more bottles soon as well, loving it

From my (limited) experience & what I observe, we're always trying to find our vaping "sweet spot". That can be any combination of juice, temperature, MTL or Lung inhale, strength of suck (ooerr) and many more variables, all have an impact on the vape. TC in theory takes out some of those variables, it can accommodate variable airflow, variable wicking, different juices etc. At different times of day I vape in a different style, long & slow sometimes, really deep sometimes, short & sharp other times, all depends on mood & context.
When TC is perfected we will be able to have preset "mood" or "style" settings that will adjust the vape according to how we want to use the device at that moment. With the technology available at the moment we can't get consistent & predictable results from mods across the TC spectrum. From what I have seen of the DNA 200 software for example, the industry is really starting to get to grips with the really high tech stuff, wire composition, temp management in real time, & consistent and measurable performance. I think it's the start of some really clever stuff that will make a huge difference & allow a new vaper to cut out the huge learning curve that many of use are going thorough. The next six to twelve months are going to be fascinating and I'm very glad and excited to be part of it.

Similar problems here with very muted flavours on TC. Working my way through wick & coil combinations & just starting to try out titanium coils on the IPV4 S. I have no doubt that this technology is the future of vaping, but it has a way to go yet. In six months to a year we'll all be using it.....maybe

Kanthal surprisingly doesn't like heavy metal tunes, think it's the alloys in it. However if you can strum Hotel California on your dual coil build, you'll never have a hot spot. (Dire Straits works as well)

Never thought I would ever be celebrating a tobacco free birthday. 60 years young today & the first birthday for 44 years without a ciggie. Thank you AAEC - such good advice and information on here. Right - off to do some damage to some wine

I hope they have some experienced vapers helping them with advice on devices, atomizers, mods juices etc.

If I've understood the video correctly, I have to own an Android phone or Apple phone in order to adjust the temp coefficient of the mod. Out of the box you can only use the mod with a titanium coil. So if like me you don't own an up to date smart phone you can't use the mod with a nickel build? If I've understood all that correctly, it seems a bit daft to say the least. Someone tell me I'm wrong please

I've rebuilt an OCC head with nickel, and it is a little better than the bought OCC head, but not much. Getting plenty of vapour again but still very muted dry flavour. I have a "new" RBA deck in another tank at the moment. Will have a go at that one tomorrow, although when I have recoiled OCC heads with Kanthal in the past, they have outperformed the RBA decks.
It's all very confusing, therefore, more red wine required.

OK - I need to try some Nickel coils in a dripper, it's the nickel in a subtank that causing the problem. In the Dovpo & the IPV4 S, same issue, vapour but no flavour. I've tried my own nickel recoil & a kanger nickel coil, so don't think it's the wire. The only other tank I have at the moment has a titanium build so can't use that. Will have another play with it all tomorrow, go to go and cook dinner now Thanks for the suggestions.

My rebuilt coil is 10 wraps & 2.5mm of .30mm, it gives me .15 on the Dovpo. I'm getting some vapour at all temp settings, @400 it's cool & little vapour, @530 more vapour, but still no flavour and very very "dry". Will have another play with it on the IPV4 S. I've got other devices, so no big deal, but I paid €15.oo for 5 of these coils yesterday, and so far, not having much success with them. I thought the pre made would be good to get me going, might have to go back to kanthal on the sub tanks. However, the titanium build on the aromamizer is epic

Very new to TC vaping, about 24 hours, but struggling with these coils, plenty of vapour but almost zero flavour. Just rebuilt an OCC head with my own nickel and seems to be a little better. I have no idea why that should be, same tank, same juice, same ohms but tastes better...bizarre.

I'm going to try a nickel recoil of an OCC head and see if that helps. My Kanthal OCC recoils have always come out better than the factory made, more air in particular. So fingers crossed it may make a difference.

Newly returned to vaping and have been very impressed with the subtank mini, and really love using my drippers.
Recently saw a Youtube review of the Steam Crave Aromamizer RDTA, rebuildable, dripper, tank, atomizer.
Had to give one a try, looked like an interesting concept.
Only had it 24 hours so far, but it really does do what it says on the tin. The rebuildable deck is very small, but managed to get a twin coil titanium build on it, to go with my newly purchased IPV4 S TC mod. The air control is a bit weird with the tank band. But, my goodness, the vapour & flavour is fabulously good compared to the subtank. More air than an airy thing, really does vape like a dripper, but with out the faff of dripping every few vapes. Don't think you could MTL, but for those full lung hits it's a great bit of kit.
I've got the 3ml tank model and seriously considering the 6ml model to add to the collection. I suspect this concept might really take of.
Have a google if you're interested.
