Adding sweetener - newbie custard advice

Getting into custards a little, mixed up a grants clone, just basic but tastes alright




Anyway it has steeped for a month but would like it a little sweeter, when adding more is it insant, as add a little shake and try, add some more if required or have I get to add and leave for a while?

I add it, give it a shake and vape away, usually find it's pretty instant.

I'd been wondering about this, as quite a few straight Capellas have this slight rough bitter taste, and just not pleasant to vape; smell sweeter than they taste. So it's just a case of adding a few drops of ethyl maltol at a time and test it on the dripper ... yay!

Yes as long as you mix well sweetener is literally that just sweetness.
Add a smidge at a time though

Have been using FA sweetener, not EM?

just ordered Bavarian Cream & French Vanilla, have cap vanilla custard and de luche, any other custards mixes, percentages recipes for me to get a bit more adventurous with?

A fair few here letsavit . . . . Capella Sweet Cream ( or similar ) also makes a nice addition to a VC mix.

Ok guys and girls after looking at many a recipe here i got 100mm of this steeping, thinking of adding 5% of French Vanilla to 50ml of it, what you reckon? Mine seems a bit boring now...!

Time is the only thing  that will change what is likely to be a very chemical and harsh tasting mix at present, into luuuvvvvlllyy custurdy flavour in around 4 wks.

This 100ml lot has only been stepping a week, just seen most of the recipes on here include French vanilla, thought I'll add 5%, shake and start the month again...
