Had a great day on Friday, two TC mods arrived along with Ni & Titanium wire, plus some Ni heads for the subtank mini. I've been playing with the mods and my new Aromamizer RDTA system (will be subject of another post), and thought I would use the nickel heads in the subtank to get me going.

Getting loads of vapour at a variety of setting on the two mods, but no flavour at all. Have changed juices and settings many times on both mods. Tried hot, cool and all temps in between.

The vape is very "dry" hard to explain, leaves your mouth feeling like all the moisture has been sucked out & no flavour, none.

Is it just me? I have read rave reviews of the Nickel heads, loads of flavour & vapour, I only seem to be able to get the vapour.

Any thoughts?

I've also made this one, only 2 weeks steeping so far, but I've dripped a little and it's lovely. There's a massive thread about it at Vaping Underground.

On my recent return to vaping I had a pile of old juices, all at least 18months old & very dark almost black. They were all custardy, vanilla creamy concoctions that had never really made the grade. So I slung them all in a 200ml bottle and left it to the side while I've been making new stuff. I had a taste & the creamy custardy background flavour was actually quite smooth and rich, so thought I would try an experiment. It was all mixed at 20mg nic, which is far too strong for me. So I thought I would try adding a fruit flavour, and using a calculator, added some VG & PG to bring the nic down to about 6. So 5% TPA banana, and using the dark mix as a base, managed to get 30ml of a banana cream at about 8mg nic.

Left it for a few days and it's really nice, much to my surprise. Now lining up all my other fruit flavours and hoping to make a load of 30ml batches of fruity creamy custardy stuff

I was exactly in your shoes a month ago @yinyang it has definitely got me off the fags for ever, something I couldn't have done with MTL I now have 4 subtanks and have today received my first TC mod (Dovpo). Sadly I am still waiting for a delivery of nickel wire so TC will have to wait. However, I have also got 3 RDAs, and they blow the subtank out of the water IMO. I have a Mutation V3, Royal Hunter & a Plume Veil, all of them give a fantastic vape at .4ohms kanthal and 40 watts or so. I am now vaping 6mg, whereas with my Kayfuns in the past I even tried 40mg of nic to try and get the hit I needed, needless to say it didn't happen then. Hope you're enjoying the journey as much as I am.

Then, when you're converted, you'll be wanting a dripper, then more power, then temperature control, then you'll have to try titanium and then....

The huge difference for me was being able to go to lung inhales. What an eye opener that was, 0.4ohms at 40 watts on a dripper with lots of air, massive flavour and clouds...lovely. I had failed to give up smoking first time round, although at the time I had reasonable kit, penelope, kayfuns and the like. But mouth to lung was never going to do it for me, although many others seem to get on fine with it. Each to there own, but I've found what works for me, giving up fags this time has been easy....so far
