Not very sure what happened. One minute I put on a load of weight, everything was tight and swelling up and next thing I knew was a dream/nightmare and I was not sure where I was. Anyways 2 weeks passed before I started to come out of it and found myself in hospital.
It transpired that I had a Chest Infection that had stripped all oxygen from my breath and this was causing all the swelling in my muscles.
I was in hospital for a month. Been home 4 days now. Came home wheeling a Zimmer, but now on 2 sticks.
No doubt that once I see my own doctor, I will learn more about what happened to me. They tell you so little in hospital these days.

Hi djs I can understand the "sprouts" in Brussels misreading the attitude of the people in the UK, but I will never understand the SNP misreading the thoughts of our own people. Being free to make up our own opinions about how we run our own lives is a basic right that those that went before us, fought and died for. For the "Fish Faces" of this country, the Sturgeons and the Salmons to try to take this away from us, well "Cod" help us. It will take a Mackerel to get out of this.

If I am given the choice, then I do not see me ever going back to smoking.
However, the world of politics is such a weird place, run by so many idiots who's dreams and goals are far removed from sane and sensible people, that whilst I hope and pray that our future well being comes down to our choice in such matters, I doubt it.
Thankfully, at the moment, Westminster has the power to decide whether I continue to Vape or not. Unfortunately in the future it may be up to individual regional governments to make these regional decisions and the SNP have already drawn up plans for smoking and other accompanying "hobbies" to be banned by 2036.

Gawd, I'm going senile!!!!!!

Yes, I agree whole-hardly with that. I'm unlikely to be in a country where vaping is banned, but if I ever was, I would see no problem with smoking for the duration.
Smoking or vaping is my decision and I am buggered if I will let others dictate how I live my life.
This world has far too many "Goody Goody Two Shooed" folks who feel they have the right to spread the word about we should live a better life. The worst by far are the politicians.

I took early retirement 17 years ago. It is a pret6ty poor pension as the money goes, but it is liveable, just. 6 years ago I changed to Vaping and this added £6000 to my yearly pension.
I have already gone down the road of fancy new Mods, Flavours, etc and all my savings now go on making our lives more comfortable and interesting.
For years we could never afford the luxuries that others seemed to save yearly for. These days we have our new cars, our comfortable housing, our "blooming" gardens and some money in the bank. This was kicked off by changing to Vaping and with it a change in our perception of what was important to us. Like, good foods, nice clothes, decent furniture, pleasant surroundings and having everything that we need although not everything we want.
Sometimes a change of one aspect of your life, leads to many changes and opinions in other parts as well. Hopefully all to the good.

The next time you see me smoking, I will be half-way up the Crematorium Chimney.
Ofcourse, by then the Village Vapers will be queuing outside my shed door, looking for some hand-outs.

Since I started vaping 6 years ago, 4 of the 6 houses in our immediate vicinity have changed over to vaping while 2 continue with smoker.
Of the gardens of the vapers, 3 of the houses now have spent varying amounts of their spare cash and 2 of the houses, including my own, have spent thousands of pounds on new "no-mow" lawns, fancy gravel paths and designer patios.
If vaping is doing nothing else, it is affording some places for us to sit amongst pleasant smelling environments, enjoying fresh clean airs and watching busy Bees harvesting from our labours.
Vaping is so much more than just health and politics.

Today I binned about 25 bottles of Flavour Concentrates. All of them had liquids that were either dark to black, with age, or the labels had faded so much that their contents were unreadable.
Many of these I had bought some 4 years ago when I fancied trying different flavours and tastes. However these days I tend to stick to those flavours that I know will refresh me and/or satisfy my daily needs.
I still have a fair collection of Flavours sitting on the shelf and some I may end up using just to see what they taste like, but many will go the same way as today's and as they become unusable, they will end their lives in our local cowp.
Flavours, their contents and/or their labels do appear to be the only part of my e-juice that have "gone off" since I started vaping 6 years ago.

I would guess that no one knows the answer to this question. Very few of us would have laid in enough supplies to last us for years until the EU started threating us with their daft restrictions.
Come back to me in 8 or 10 years time to find out how long my stuff lasts, but in the meantime, some of it is passed its "use by" dates and they are still A1.

As a Jock with 13 years supply of Nic-Base in the freezer, when it turns solid and I can no longer get it out of the dammed bottle, then I'll bin it.
Till then, I'll haply keep Tooting.

One other good thing that has happened in the past year, 2 of the smokers in our immediate surrounding has joined the ranks of the Vapers. So in the 6 houses around us, 5 folks are non-smokers/vapers and never have been, 5 folks are now Vapers and 2 folks continue to be smokers.
Fortunately for me, my next door neighbours are a non-smoker and a Vaper so I am no longer having to disappear into the house every time he comes into his garden to exhale his foul cigarette smoke across my fence. The only contaminated smoke we get these days is burnt sausages on his BBQ.

I'm not sure what "stage" I am now at with the garden, but since my Stroke I had a whole year where I did not do a thing either in the garden or in the house. Any physical effort was a no no and I would just sit for hours doing nothing. Anyways, over the last few months I have started doing a bit, albeit somewhat slowly, but each little bit soon adds up and I have just completed planting out about 380 bedding, container and hanging basket plants which the garden a prettier place to be. It was all very well sitting in the middle of a building site for a year, but a bit of colour and fragrant scent does wonders for my well being.

I've just bought 10 Boge Cartomisers. I haven't used these things for ages and I'm surprised how well they vape. Anyways I'm making up a couple of stealth vape set ups and these are ideal for that.
