Odd. I'd say I got way more vapour on my evod 2 than on the old evods or mini protank 1 that I have. They go on spinners, not mods, and the juices are nearly all PG (I'm not really a vapour chaser) but still..

Hi southernduckyThe 1.8 ohms is the resistance of your aspire nautilus. 4.5 volts is a little high for that - I'd start with about 3.7. But people mostly use vamos in the watts setting. To change from volts to watts hold down both small buttons together until the display changes. Then put the watts up to 7 or 8.

I'd set the watts to about 8.
If its sizzling that probably isn't the problem. Do you have to suck hard? if so, it is probably an airflow issue. Have you tried it with the airflow right open? (turn the ring at the bottom so you can see all of the three holes).
And it shouldn't matter, but it might be worth trying it without the SVD beauty ring. If that solves it then make sure the holes in that ring aren't blocked - 4 are real, and you should be able to push a needle through them. The other 4 are just decoration.
I don't have an aerotank, so I don't know what happens if you push a needle into the airholes in that, but if its like the protanks it should be fine.

The guy could have been vaping something with vegetable oil in it, and if he vaped a lot of it that could be the cause. Is that even possible? ??? I might be wrong here but I didn't think oils would be vapourized at the temperature of a normal e-cig coil..and isn't the "smoke point" temperature lower than the temperature it would take to vapourize oil? I think you'd know about it if you were inhaling vegetable oil smoke. Does your coil get hot enough to boil oil? I'd think so, at least sometimes. And probably you'd get some vapour off it before it reached the boiling point. I guess whether you could tell would depend on the proportion of it in the vape. We know that you can get lung damage from cooking oil fumes - for instance this. Best avoid vaping anything with oil in it, and not just because it gunks up the coils.

You can't get lipoid pneumonia from VG, but you can get it from vegetable oil. The guy could have been vaping something with vegetable oil in it, and if he vaped a lot of it that could be the cause. References here (talking about the other death referred to in the article, which was in Germany) and here

I've tried a few almonds, and the only one Sandra & I think is any good is Sainsbury's (the ordinary, not the luxury version, can't remember what they call it, had oil in I think) mixed at something like 40%. The Marzi Malone that Perpetua likes is nice but I find it gets a bit sickly after a while.

Too far away Really? It's a two and a half hour train journey from Euston. It can take longer travelling from one side of london to another in the rush hour. A return ticket will cost you £22. There – No more excuses from Londoners!Plus the hour it takes me to get to Euston, plus station to vapefest at the other end - total 8 hours travel in the day? I guess I'm just not that dedicated.

Frogster (The Alchemist) is of course right as always. For maximum safety use EP deionised (or distilled). But I've seen a lot of posts by people who say they use tap water and none saying they got ill from it. Obviously in areas where the tap water is bad you'd use bottled. You could boil it, which would kill any bacteria. It might pick up some more while it was cooling but the vaping process would kill it off again I think, along with the bacteria you picked up while washing your atty out. This doesn't seem to me to be like diacetyl or some other potential stealth killer. I'd expect a manufacturer to have a reasonably sterile environment, but I don't make any attempt to replicate that in my kitchen. We live with bacteria all the time and once in a while it makes us ill, but I wouldn't get too worried.

I like it to say food grade, or better still pharma grade. So I'd so no to this one. Boots is fine & pretty cheap, though it needs to be diluted with something or it is too much trouble to get through a mixing needle.

I got an SVD when my vamo v2 (I think) started to die, but I'd get a vamo V5 next time unless something better and reasonably priced comes out. The SVD is OK, but I find that the 'telescopic' design makes it less comfortable to hold, and the menu system isn't as good as the vamo. I don't fancy the SID menu system at all, but I haven't tried it - just seen the reviews.

It isn't so hard to make your own microcoils Mrsmac If you have a gas hob and flat-headed tweezers then all you really need is the wire. You should be able to find something to wrap it round. I use .28 kanthal, which I got from stealthvape.
