I think Magsvape is making a valid point, if you can buy it cheaper new then it is worth highlighting this to any potential purchasers and also the seller so he can if he so wishes adjust his prices accordingly. GLWS.

Forget lappy look towards Pc---maybe little less practical but able to upgrade and expand even with 6gb you will struggle plus you will be better off running a 64bit OS which would mean you lots more expandable memory upto 32gb most boards will handle, which would help a great deal on video editing ,will admit i am not an Icore fan,Amd me ,also to help with data transfer you may also want to look into SSD hard drives to for data write/transfer rates Thanks andy. A desktop is def not viable at the moment. I know it would be better but space is very limited plus a move on the cards anytime soon. I have seen the ssd drives mentioned but dont really understand it. Not massivly computer minded lol. So is there other processors that would do the job better or the same as the i5? Sent from my Galaxy Note 2 Personally I would stick to Intel over AMD. SSD or standard hard drives wold both have a fast enough data transfer rate for your requirements.

if it were me I would get an I5 4th Gen, 8GB ram, 64bit OS, 500GB+ HDD and a decent video card.

Hey Chris, I've just wrote this small tutorial for you and put it on the web kb.wisc.edu/13067 Funny enough testdruif, I've just been reading a similar thing that I googled......I have xp on both the pc & notebook..........My house mate has a pc that is connected to the router via ethernet, as is my pc, although on a separate ethernet cable to the same router.......my notebook is wireless & is connected via her pc......if I share my pc data drive with my notebook, will her pc be able to access it too, as I don't want this. create an additional user account on the PC and share the CD rom only setting permissions for that account, you can then use that account to connect to the CD rom.

If your PC + Notebook are connected to the same router, you could share your CD rom on your PC and then just access the shared CD rom drive from your Notebook and install the software.

I has the same problem with 1 of my aspire's, what I did was to remove the BDC head and then sand about 1 mm off the 510 connector on the aspire base.
