Do any of the lovely vendors on here do any sort of gift vouchers? I have a friend who is a vaper and I'd like to be able to give a vape-related present...but kit and juices are such a personal choice, I think a voucher to spend somewhere would be a better option.

Good luck from me too. I didn't tell myself I was going to stop smoking, I decided I would start vaping. As Pixie says.... So far it's working well for me, but I started in Stoptember.

I quite like it, but then I'm generally the poor sod that takes in the post for everyone around, as (although my neighbours don't work) I'm often the person who is in when they call. I'm talking normal post and all the UPS/DHL/Yell parcels as well). Must admit, I did nearly lose it a month or so back when one of the above rang the doorbell again and again, eventually forcing me out of the shower. If the parcel had been for me it would have been OK, but it wasn't. One thing I found out to my real cost was that if you opt for having an undelivered parcel redirected to your local post office, they charge you for doing it and it takes up to 2 days for it to appear there.
Our postman is a hero. As long as it doesn't need a signature, he finds a way of leaving it somewhere safe. In fact, a couple of weeks back, he rang the bell just after I came back from shopping. He'd left a card for me to go and pick up a parcel, but he said "I saw your car go past, so I came back"

I spent so much time reading and researching which kit to buy that I didn't do nearly enough homework on juices. As a result, I started off with 5mg nic juices, and as I got a small stock, I thought I'd better use them. So, I have been using very low nic juices from day1 of vaping. It's probably true that my vaping experience is quite different from most on here. But then again, I started this way so I've never known any different. I got some sound advice yesterday about getting a small supply of, say, 18mg in case I feel the urge for a real nicotine hit and get tempted to smoke a stinky, and that's what I'm going to do. But I'll stick to my 5mg for now and see if I can reduce to 0 at some point. If I do, well and good, but its very early days ..

Hi Dave and thanks for the welcome and the sound advice. I think you have a good point about the juice, and I will be following your advice as soon as my vapemate app shows a figure a bit closer to break even! Mind you, so far no family members or animals have suffered....whenever I've tried giving up smoking in the recent past, the three day point has been the danger point, but I've passed that by a few days now, and I can honestly say I haven't felt even a little bit homicidal....

LOL! Funny that you goys should mention cost! I told myself when I shelled out for the starter kit and juices that it was a lot of money but that I would soon save it because I wasn't buying my 20 cigs a day. Well, last night I was messing around on my iPad and found an app called Vapemate which tells you among other things how much you have spent on vaping vs smoking. At the moment it tells me: Average cost of vaping per week £124 Money saved: - £51!!!! Of course the first one is reducing and the second increasing by the second, u think I am going to wait till vaping is costing me about the same as smoking was, before I start spending more!

Well, thanks for the suggestions, and I will certainly give the twist some serious thought. Looks like an ideal next step/upgrade. And the little keyring thingy, although would I also need an adapter to use that with my ego cartos?
You lot get me thinking, and I realised I must be quite lucky. My tiny corner shop (5 mins walk) sells e-cigs. OK, I don't know which ones, or even what they are like, but let's face it, if I was really stuck it would be better than nothing, or than "the other thing"! And as long as any crisis happens before 9.30 pm they'd still be open!

Thanks again all for the welcomes! We always recommend to have back-ups though. With most people, its not as easy to get vaping gear if something goes wrong with yours, or you lose it. With stinkies you can just pop to your corner shop for a fresh packet, not so easy for a new clearo, or juice, battery etc. Good point, brianfletch...I've given myself a couple of weeks to get used to what I've got and to try a few different juices: I've got more clearos on order to give me the option to try more flavours without having to keep cleaning clearos every few hours. Next step may be to get a bit more kit, and I'd welcome any suggestions. Is it enough just to, say, get more batteries, or bigger ones, or...? At the moment, I've got two of everything and it's brand new, but it would be pretty stupid to wait till something packs in before ordering spares. Hmm. "pretty stupid". My middle names.
