I'm currently using the V5 clearos, which are also rebuildable and seem cheap compared to the vivi nova. They are all plain transparent ones. However, the cracked one is a V3 that came with my kit. I don't think that matters, though. Of course the vivi has the advantage of the metal sleeve... I think I'm going to give the Boges a whirl first, just to try the difference between them and the clearos. Even if I find they're not for me and I end up with the Vivi nova, I shall have some emergency cartos in stock! Thanks for all the advice, once again, people. You're a real help!

That's really helpful, thanks both. I can't really go too far wrong for six quid, can I?

Sounds a bit like a Ladybird book title... Anyway, I seem to have reached the next stop on the vaping bus ride. I've been very happy with my vision clearos, until today. I blame the fact that I read a thread about which juices crack clearos only this morning, and now this afternoon I've found that I have one of them. It's a juice I like a lot, so I think I may need a plan B. I was thinking that probably some Boge cartos would be the logical way to go. So now I have a couple of questions. Every time I read about "resistance" up to now, I stuck my fingers in my ears and went "Lalalalalalala" but now I find I might need to know more. Do I need low resistance with an Ego Twist, or normal? And do I need to buy a drip tip as well, or can I recycle the end of my now-deceased clearo? I was so hoping not to have to buy any more stuff for a little while, but it seems I may have to..

And maybe give a swerve to pointing the directors to this forum whilst this thread is here? I think you've probably given enough information for them to recognise themselves, and it's probably what we used to describe as a "career-limiting move"

Maybe - without being arsey - you could ask Mr asthmatic whether he moves away from the kettle when it's boiling?

You don't know who you are, and you probably don't know what you've done, but I wanted to just say thanks to all the contributors on here for making me feel so welcome, and a special thank you for sharing your experiences, knowledge and suggestions. I've learned such a lot in the past few weeks just from reading your posts and even if I haven't had a lot to say, I've felt at home and been amazed at how friendly and helpful people are, and how willing to share tips and advice. I thought I'd got my head round the basics before I got here. I was wrong!! I now know I made a few mistakes (mostly juice-related, fortunately)and I'm vaping my way slowly through them. I'm definitely better prepared for any future orders, and not only that, I've found my way to the discount codes, so any future mistakes will hopefully be a bit less expensive. Anyway, before you all reach for the nearest bucket and this starts to sound like an Oscar acceptance speech, thanks!

Congratulations! I'm a newbie too, and am surprised at how stress-free it has been to get this far. Still searching for my perfect juice but just splashed out on an Ego twist. I've decided to see if it makes the juices I've already got, before I start trying lots of new juices. People with much more experience keep saying that your tastes change, and that a vv battery can make big differences to flavour, so I thought I'd give it a go...
And yes, I think it may take a while before I get into the big savings, bit I hope that by the time I get my twist I'll be on the right side of break-even!

Not so much an anniversary, more of a milestone...today was the day that I finally started saving money, as the small fortune I spent on getting started with vaping finally became less than I would have spent on smoking over the same period! One thing I have learned is that it's probably now only a matter of time before I start investing those savings in mods.....

I wish it were that simple, Ratfinkz. I reckon I've got more nail treatment stuff in my house than Boots. Nothing works. The best stuff I've found is Mavala nail strengthener in a tiny bottle. If I had shares in Sally Hansen I'd be rich...I think the real answer is that I need to spend the winter in the Caribbean. Which is so not going to happen.

That's an ambulances and sirens job, that is! I spend half the year with no nails at all, and half the year with nails of a decent length. I don't know why, but it happens every year. Right now, my nails are quite long. However, one broke about 3 weeks ago, and one of my thumbnails is currently held in place with superglue, as it's split so low down that if I just filed it off it would be really painful, so I'm trying to hang onto it till the break grows out a bit. By Christmas I'll be back to stumps.....
