Sorry if my post wasn't what you were looking for. I'd perhaps be better off not bothering. I just thought that when you said "tell us your views" you might have meant it. My bad.

I don't want to say this for any other reason other than to be devil's advocate, but hands up how many of us have ever joined a consumers' association for any other product we buy or use? And when DO people join a consumers' association? Usually when something goes badly, horribly wrong with a product they own or a service they have been let down by.
There is a certain amount of talk, and some sound insight and knowledge from some, about what is likely to happen should there eventually be regulation of electronic cigarettes and the industry that supports vaping. Some are worried, some don't know whether to be worried or not, some are convinced that Big Pharma and Big Tobacco want to ruin it for everyone. Most of us, if we are honest, don't have a clue.
However, human nature being what it is, I suspect the majority of people are happy to carry on doing what they are doing and won't actually be bothered until they are presented with the possibility of vaping being regulated, becoming more expensive, or in certain circumstances being banned.
It's a sad fact that when there's no real reason to join in and get involved, people can't be bothered.
As an aside, and I speak from a little bit of experience, when there was a thread on here about a radio programme looking for volunteer vapers, and a link to the ECCA forum was provided, I posted that I couldn't see the link without joining the forum. I was rapped on the knuckles by a couple of people who couldn't fathom why anyone wouldn't want to join such a worthy organisation and its forum. What they overlooked was the fact that the more hoops you make people jump through to reach you, the less inclined they are to jump.
I have no doubt that much of what I've just said will be about as welcome as a S*** sandwich, but that's the way it usually is, I'm afraid.

I have vaped the same juices in CE 5's and Vivis and, to me, there's no difference. But there again, as with the OP, maybe my taste buds are up the wall. I have to say, the Vivi has probably been my greatest vaping disappointment so far. Works fine, but I was expecting a lot from all I've read on here, and I'm not impressed. I'm not unimpressed either, but I think it's just reinforced my view that we really are all different. Good thing too!

I'm one of the least well-placed to advise you as a relative newbie myself, but if I say something it will break the drought and the replies will come thick and fast...
Yes, you WILL need more than one battery, and I'd just say, before you commit, have a look round for kits that come with two, because they tend to be better value and you then save time and money shopping round for another. Also, you tend to get two of everything in a two-battery kit (except for a charger) and you will need some other stuff in greater numbers, even if you only have the one or two batteries: clearomisers or cartomisers are something you'll certainly need a few of from the start, because you may want to change juices more than once during the day, and you may have the odd one that fails or comes to the end of its life, so it's always wise to have a stock. Also, check out the vendors' section here for discount codes and deals before you buy (not like me, as I came to that part too late).
Oh, and as we're getting near to Christmas, bear in mind that if you are going to be vaping over the festive season, you'd better order any kit and supplies you may need in enough quantities that you don't find yourself caught out with stuff stuck in the Christmas post!!!

Try microsoft web site for drivers update may be you've tried this ? Bless you for the suggestion, but yes. I've updated the drivers several times, for both printers, I've uninstalled, reinstalled, cleaned the registry, searched the internet for fixes, spent over an hour on chat help with a nice man from Kodak, tried a wired and wireless install, system restore, and am now busy uninstalling windows updates from the big November patch release.... And I'm vaping....I'm vaping.... Aaaaaaaaaaand breathe.

On Sunday, my printer, which had been happily connected to, and printing from, my laptop for almost a year, suddenly decided it needed updating. From there, it's been a downward spiral of disappearing drivers, unresponsive printers, me deciding it was the printer dying and buying ANOTHER printer, only to have the same problem, and three days of scouting round the internet without success for a fix. I've spent about 20 hours and a couple of very late nights trying to find a fix, and I STILL don't have a working printer. On Monday, I could stand it no longer. No, it's not what you're thinking...I broke out my very first homebrewed juice which had been steeping for five days. I wanted to hold out for a week, but..... Surprisingly, although the printer problems still aren't sorted (and now I have TWO non-functioning printers), I've not got half as cross as I usually would, and not only that, but my new juice - which tastes quite good, though I say it myself - is ZERO nicotine!!! I'd normally be screaming and cursing, but I'm reasonably zen, considering. And all without having to resort to either tobacco or nicotine. At least there's one good result in all this!

Get well soon, Pixie. Your health and wellbeing come first. Hope all turns out to be fine and that you can be back mixing soon...for your sake, not ours!

I sometimes have morals, but I can't really afford to dump my Kindle after finding out so long after acquiring it that Amazon are tax avoiders. I've read 62 books on mine this year, and of those over 50 were free ones. New releases, not classics. I've also been able to buy ones I've really wanted to read once they have become quite cheap, or whilst they have been on special offer for next to nothing. Physically, a Kindle feels better to me than a library book, which are usually the rather unwieldy hardback versions. I was also able to take enough books on holiday this summer to last me for the 2 months I was away. Not an easy feat if you try carting the real thing! My personal preference, though, is a much more expensive deal: audiobooks. Even before my Kindle came along, I discovered the delights of reading whilst cooking, ironing, sunbathing (I can close my eyes and still read a book), gardening... And probably my favourite is being able to read a bit before I go to sleep, but to do the "reading" with the lights off and my eyes closed. Bliss.

For a moment there, I got all excited and encouraged. Great, I thought, a splendid chance to try out some Dulce de Leche and some Ethyl maltol. Both out of stock

Am a bit puzzled by some comments here... Have a kindle. No ads, never have had. Never paid anything NOT to have ads, so I guess we're talking about the trade-off for having free 3G? Kindle fire...great if you want a tablet, not as good as Kindle if you want an e-book reader (AFAIK) because it doesn't use the same screen technology as the ordinary Kindle, so stuff like being able to read the screen in full sunlight is lost.
As a family, we've had absolutely fantastic experience with Amazon aftersales service. OH is on Kindle 4 after some accidents/problems with previous ones. Some are faults with the device, others accidents. In all cases Amazon replaced his Kindle within 48 hours, free...except the last, when it was out of warranty so they sold him a new one for £30. I don't know how this stacks up against the competition, but it seems pretty good to me.
Oh, and we share books as all our Kindles are registered to the one account..

I thought that VG dilution was 10% water to 90%VG Anywhere between 10 - 25% of vodka or deionised water will be ok to get the vg to the viscosity you require, but 20% seems the average people use. I've stuck to what Grizwald suggested in his thread that's a sticky. And also, as I'm using VG only, it's not going to be diluted by anything else in the current mix, so I thought it best to be sure it wasn't going to be toooo viscous, just in case. Thank you all, BTW, for the suggestions and input..I guess, once I am able to have a taste of my first mix, I'll want to start fiddling with it and will be able to try some of your other suggestions for changes and improvements. If I manage to make something I like from this first go, then I will be pleased and a little bit surprised.

Sorry just re-read your post and saw that your 9ml to 38ml VG was only the ratio that you were using, I though you'd gone hell for leather for a moment there! Clearly, even though you've never met me, someone has told you I'm blonde, haven't they?

You're right, oneday. I will try to be strong (yeah, right) but, worst case scenario at this stage, and flavouring aside, I don't think I've broken the 2 quid barrier in buying ingredients so, in the great scheme of things, I can still afford a mistake or two. Not that I'm aiming for any, but I'm sure you see what I mean!

Thanks, guys! I hope my tongue doesn't get hypnotised, violetblade! I'll have a little test tomorrow and see if I need more flavour or some sweetener. Is it wise to wait till I can vape some before I start to make any more? I've started with a small amount, but if it does work, I guess I need to get a bit of a throughput going so that I've got some ready to vape, plus more coming through the steeping process, in order not to run out whilst I'm waiting for the next batch to mature? I'd like to be all grown up and patient about this, but reading around the forum seems to suggest that not many of us really, really manage that part.
