Evening, finally taking the leap into vaping, and after some advice please. I have done some research, and after looking, think I have chosen the following to start me off.. esmokeuk.co.uk/shop/article_70/EGO-Twist-CE4-Single-1100-Mah.html?sessid=oWsQxe8Huh9mnHO4Nulo7PraTSLyl8RUgJMwQrTaiFF4WtSODDTfGbEJxBo8pt9g&shop_param=cid%3D1%26aid%3D70%26I know I will need more than one battery, but just to start with, it shoud do, as I have to go 2 hour periods at work without smoking, so can just charge it up then if needed. So is this kit okay? Also, I have selected some juice, but dont know what strength to go for. I packed in the cigs for 2 years (30ish a day) then did the usual, started on cigars, so now I am on 10-15 cigars aday. So what nic strength would people recommend? Many thanks for any help recieved.

Hi Dave and welcome - no sighs here . We would always recommend more than one battery - what will you do at the weekend while one is charging? The kit looks ok value wise, especially as it also contains a UK mains adaptor. I'm dubious about the battery though. Ego do not make a 1100mah twist battery, their biggest is 1000mah and that one doesn't look big enough, it looks more like a 650 to me

I'm one of the least well-placed to advise you as a relative newbie myself, but if I say something it will break the drought and the replies will come thick and fast...
Yes, you WILL need more than one battery, and I'd just say, before you commit, have a look round for kits that come with two, because they tend to be better value and you then save time and money shopping round for another. Also, you tend to get two of everything in a two-battery kit (except for a charger) and you will need some other stuff in greater numbers, even if you only have the one or two batteries: clearomisers or cartomisers are something you'll certainly need a few of from the start, because you may want to change juices more than once during the day, and you may have the odd one that fails or comes to the end of its life, so it's always wise to have a stock. Also, check out the vendors' section here for discount codes and deals before you buy (not like me, as I came to that part too late).
Oh, and as we're getting near to Christmas, bear in mind that if you are going to be vaping over the festive season, you'd better order any kit and supplies you may need in enough quantities that you don't find yourself caught out with stuff stuck in the Christmas post!!!

This kit is fantastic value www.v-health.co.uk/shop/4569113622/eGo-CE4-900mah-Starter-Kit/3610122 and should provide a great base on which to start. Okay, no more suggestions about type of ecig to go for please, I have gone for the one DiscoDes mentioned. It seems like it has had quite a few recommendations on here in the last month, so ordered now, and after the two nights I have taken to choose, I dont want a better one for cheaper to be suggested, lol! Now onto the juice. I have ordered a starter kit from mirage cigarettes, and as they only came in one strength, I had no choice, but what strength would people recommend? Oh, and cheers for loads of help at such an unsociable hour, much appreciated!!

Hi Dave, Yes go for the kit that Disco Des is suggesting. If you are out for an evening, with the wee bottle full of juice, that will see you through even an all nighter.
She who must be obeyed had me out for a long days shopping today, but with my clearo full of juice and a spare battery in my pocket, I was well equipped for even the longest shopping trip! #shoppingm2#

If that's the £19-99 sample pack from Mirage it'll give you a good idea of what flavours you might like. I reckon it's good value, even if you use other people's juices later.
Difficult to tell what strength you'll want after 10-15 cigars/day, but it may well be more than 18mg. Cigars give a lot of throat hit if you inhale them, and lower nicotine tends to give a lower throat hit. See what tastes you like, and if you want more throat hit, order it in something stronger. Check the websites for reviews before you order it, or ask us again.
Liberty flights has one of the largest ranges, and shows reviews for each juice, but tends not to do high nic. OK Smokey does high nic and has a good reputation for copying cigarette and tobacco flavours, but I don't know about cigars.

Hi Dave and welcome Sounds like you have had some good advice already, the strength of juice is a hard one, we all vary so much on what we vape, when it arrives and you start vaping on it, you will have an idea if its strong enough or not

Hi Dave and Welcome I'm a newbie myself and it's great to see newcomers joining the fold everyday. That kit does look excellent value! Hope you enjoy it I have yet to use my new kit that arrived yesterday because my juice delivery from a separate company didn't turn up I still blame the post service rather than the company as it's pretty unreliable round here. I can't really help much with the nic strength question (being a complete noob myself) but I did use the 10 motives disposable and rechargeable for a week and they are 18mg and 24mg (medium and high str) I found that was enough to stop me smoking 25 roll-ups a day overnight! But it didn't always satisfy the craving as well as a rollup, there was often a very slight edge to the craving, easy enough to ignore but there all the same. (I think I just needed to vape more but often I was using it like I would a smoke with a couple of hours inbetween vapes, aprt form the odd sneaky one in the work loos!) For my first juice order I went for a mixture of 18 and 24mg until I learn what I need, I thought it best to cover my bases. Enjoy your new toy
