I believe that GOD is Energy - ie everything in the Universe. Just a different word for everything we know and those things we still search out. I think I'd have to put you down as an atheist, strictly speaking. If the term 'god' is used with such a massive width of reference (literally everything), then it's not really functioning in the way it would have to in order to underpin the idea of 'theism' that I have in mind. (Or, in plain English: you don't "believe in a god" in the traditional sense.) Of course, I'm just talking semantics here. I'm not an atheist in the traditional sense. I have faith. I believe. I just believe that we can all shape our own destiny and that of others by the work we do. Even the most insignificant conversation or interaction we have with another person has an impact on both parties. I strive to make each one as positive as I can (minimise the negatives) - this is not against what is written down in the scriptures but my interpretation of them. It is difficult to put into words so I tend to just use the 'conservation of energy' to explain it. In a closed system the total energy is constant or "energy cannot be created or destroyed". The closed system is the Universe. If at the beginning of the Universe there was GOD, it follows that everything currently in the Universe is GOD. The work we do can have a positive or negative effect on that system. Perhaps theism is based upon GOD being external to our closed system. If so, then I am an atheist.

Thank you for the comments After discussions with other 'active' CAM-VIP members, we have decided to put a cover charge on the physical copies at Vapefest of £2 (plus optional donations if you wish). There are 2 reasons for this; The first reason is that we do not want people to take the 'freebie', quickly glance at it then bin it. They cost a lot of money to print and we would like them to be passed around and shared with smokers/vapers/publicans etc.. I don't want to spend the whole of Sunday morning picking up dog-eared copies from the streets and guest houses of Tamworth - it would be soul destroying after all the hard work that has been put in. The second reason is that we want to print off more copies to get them into 'vape friendly' pubs FoC - to the target audience and we need money to do that. I hope you will all support us in this if you are attending Vapefest Cheers! Russell

The first issue of the CAM-VIP magazine will be going to print in time for VapeFest. We will only be getting 500 copies printed so it is not exactly going to change the world - however, it is an opportunity to show ecigs and vaping in a very positive light. It contains basic info about the pastime that will interest and educate smokers but it also shows how ecigs are used the length and breadth of the country by a diverse range of people. It is not a specialist magazine, it just shows that ecigs are a part of everyday life for a large number of people. It is more about the people and the places they live than about ecigs which should attract the casual reader as well. Printing costs money - CAM-VIP has no money so the cost can be covered in a number of ways; By adding a cover chargeThis could work for the first issue as it will be distributed at VapeFest to enthusiasts who would probably pay a pound or two for a momento of the day and it is a way for them to show their support. However, the target audience of the mag is non-vapers and pubs, so future issues need to be free to increase awareness in that community. DonationsThis will not work imho as I have kept tabs on the donations that both CAM-VIP and ECCA have had and only a handful of individuals have over the years. Vendor advertsThis is a possibility, but I have not looked properly into it so far. The six vendors that are helping with the ebacconist campaign could fund it between them but I'd prefer it if the magazine was kept more open than that other project. Donations for spaceThere are so many diverse people that use ecigs. They have varied interests, jobs and interests. If someone donated a tenner for argument's sake, they could use part of the magazine in any way they wanted (within the bounds of common decency and all that ) It would certainly make the magazine more interesting. I've added a donations page on the CAM-VIP site that can be accessed here camvip.webs.com/apps/donations/. Having thought about it over night, I want to offer 'awareness space' and ads for vendors as a way of raising the funds. The rates are below; Awareness Space - can be anything for example promotion for blogs and forums, ads my modders plus businesses outside of the ecig industry, hobbies etc.. quarter page = £10 half page = £15 full page = £25 Advertising Space - for ecig retailers only. quarter page = £20 half page = £30 full page = £55 This is for only 500 copies but they will be available at VapeFest. This means that I require the copy by the last day in July at the latest. The lastest 'ad free' version can be seen here data.axmag.com/data/201207/U48622_F101998/index.htmlCheers! Russell PS All vaping pubs can advertise for free - go and tell your local

We have the CAM-VIP membership cards which quite simply state that vaping is legal in pubs as ecigs do not contain tobacco and they are not lit. Plus it has the smoking prohibited/esmoking allowed sign.
If you would like some of those, just pm me your address and I'll get them in the post for you.
Cheers!

I have cobbled together a basic info sheet about ecigs which can now be downloaded and printed off from the CAM-VIP site. It includes FAQs, a glossary and links to useful sites and it is aimed at the pub-going smoker, pubs and new users. camvip.webs.com/ecigs%20basic%20intro.pdfPlease feel free to comment, improve or basically print it off and take it to your local.
