you would then just buy a new tin and replace the lid. Good thinking, Chris! Got your PM, replied

Downloaded However, I've only just woken up - it may be some time before I'm on a normal bodyclock schedule

Or you could just get a tablet I couldn't bear the thought of having to drag my fingertip on a screen :-( I see what you mean now, Jemmy

Sorry I'm so tardy finding your offer of help, Macca. I can't look now because it's the laptop that's recording 24/7 (you know, the one I can't expect to act as a server - but I do and it's amazing, considering ). If I don't respond with the info within reasonable time, maybe someone could give me a nudge, cos my memory is pants

I also put a small erm... well ok it's an old empty ciggy packet under the back which props it up Do you use that on your knees, Jemmy? I have a Logitech Speaker Lapdesk, there are different models for different size laptops, they are cushioned with a woven material so you wouldn't want it on your bare thoyz cos I'm sure you'd have patterned skin ere long I like mine because listening to birds I need good sound, and the built-in speakers are a significant improvement on the laptop's own and save clutter. (If you knew me you'd be astounded that I'd have in my possession something that saves clutter!) There's one with very good reviews on Amazon (no speakers): www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-939-000092-Comfort-Lapdesk/dp/B001EWZF0S

I think that the COW is one that you've sealed, Vapa - if so, I'd like to buy it if it's still available You could just send me an invoice to the same address as before. If you wish There is a problem with those tobacco tins (and I will be delighted to be contradicted) in that they do not wear well. I bought some of the lava-lid ones for joke prezzies. They are made from cheaper "tin" and thinner "paint" than the ones you get from the tobacco companies. I have a gorgeous Swan tin, about 9x6.5cm, it's been treated well but the "gold" is wearing off the underpart badly and also a little on the lid Some chancer thinks he can get £7 + P&P for one in this condition: uk.ebid.net/for-sale/swan-tin-old-tobacco-tin-58595173.htm?from=googleshop_ukI'm thinking that these tins may not be suitable for something that costs ££ and is constantly handled and subjected to sweat and grease in varying degrees, depending on the handler Except... I wonder if the tins could be coated with something protective?

Hi Roachie, long time no see (partly cos I'm more noticeable by my absence these days!). Glad you are back in circulation. If I (heaven forfend ) took to modding, I would do an electronics course and get loads of practice and do loads of trials before I let them loose on the public. It's a hazardous business, you've only got to look at the e-cigs made by professionals catching fire (I've had one or two) or even exploding Most of our modders are familiar with electronics and gadgetry already, you're starting from scratch so it will be quite a learning curve. It's all very well following a diagram, but I think you need understanding, too. I haven't seen your photo but it sounds very interesting! Am so glad to see that you are as enthusiastic as ever

I need needles with a slanty hole (for filling DCCs down the side), not the flat hole as in Batty's link. I couldn't find any on eBay, thought they must have banned them.

I hope you'll be able to show it assembled and also some pics that show what it does, cos I'm totally befuddled by these rebuildables

I'm a Saints fan by association (am not sure if WHUFC has forgiven me for a cheap shot long ago). My brother is a die-hard fan, he cried when Markus bought the Club, he goes to Switzerland every year, loves the place, just doesn't have enough money to live there Anyway, bro wanted them to stay in the Championship and not get mixed up with the mad spenders. I think that Saints will have a dire time in the Premiership unless they do some serious buying, but what do I know? I've always thought of West Ham as a top division club. Don't like the idea of the Olympic Stadium for their ground though, and I shouldn't think many fans do, maybe WHUFC can tell me.
