I don't like having to pigeon hole music into a set type or genre. I'll listen to pretty much anything, as long as it's done well. I'll also have a go at singing most things. I can't rap and I can't sing opera, but pretty much anything else is fair game!

Best of luck with the tests Ripple!
Will be interesting to read about the improvement. I'm certain there'll be one. I'm sure we all feel better for not smoking anymore, but it'll be good to see something official to confirm it!
Keeping my fingers crossed for you. x
PS: does anyone else sometimes feel a bit, oh I dunno, 'Evangelical' about this vaping lark?! WHY ISN'T EVERYONE DOING IT?!

Hi All

I prefer to keep the throat hit to a minimum as it's kinder to the throat/voice, so I use 50/50 mix PG/VG in my home-made e-liquids. I have a Vamo, which means I can set the vape to exactly how I want it, which for me is low wattage (maximum 6watts, usually around 5) on a 2.4ohm clearo. I think (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) that using low voltage would also have the same effect. This works for me, particularly as I tend to chain-vape of an evening if I'm sitting in front of the telly or laptop. Gives a nice smooth vape, but still with a decent amount of vapour.
I also use a really low nic level - I'm currently using a 5mg/ml vanilla custard. I can chug away quite happily on this for a whole night and my throat's fine. Well, it would be if it wasn't for this stinking cold!

Cold update: still got it. Feel a bit better though. Even managed to get into town today. Bit of retail therapy always makes me feel better! Still chugging away on the apple menthol mix, although also having some vanilla custard tonight as I can actually taste it. Hope my fellow lurgy sufferers are bearing up under the tide of endless snot

Hi Sy Can't really add anything as you've already had some great advice. This place is brilliant! Just wanted to add some virtual support. Hope you enjoy vaping as much as I do. StS x

I hear ya brother!
Also suffering with a stinker of a cold. I'm vaping an apple and menthol mix and it's definitely helping. Don't normally go for menthol, but I'm going to keep some around, even once this cold's gone, coz it's actually OK.
Aaaaaaaaaaaachhhhhhhooooooooooooooooo!
'Scuse me.

I may have the wrong idea but as it comes with 5 cartomisers does that mean I can put a different flavour in each and use one when I fancy or does the liquid dry up or go off? Hi Sooetie Welcome to the forum! The kit you've gone for seems to be the one that gets the most recommendations for here, so it must be a good 'un! You're idea about the flavours is spot on. I usually have a few clearomisers one the go, but the idea's exactly the same with cartomisers - you can carry a few around with you, each with a different flavour, and it makes switching really easy. It'll keep your taste buds interested! When you first stop smoking your taste buds are pretty knackered, so switching is good. If you find there's a flavour or two in your sample pack that you're not too keen on, either stick it in a cupboard and forget about it for a while (you're tastes will change as your taste buds come back to life) or try mixing it with another flavour. Thankfully I missed out the e-lites stage, thanks to a guy a work trying them and finding out they're not very good. I started with Totally Wicked, which is slightly better as it's a better product, but they're not very good value. I got one very basic kit for what you've spent on that Riva kit, and there's 2 batteries in yours. This forum's brilliant, such friendly people and there's always someone around to answer your questions. Ask anything, even if you think it's a bit daft - after over 2 1/5 months I've still got lots to ask about!

Never had the 'switching off' issue with the Vamo in mini mode, only seemed to do it with the bigger battery. Anyhooo, as I said earlier it's been fixed by fitting a hot spring. Hope you get yours sorted.

I have ordered apple, cherry, caramel, gold and silver and flue cured. I am hoping at least one of those is tobacco flavoured Hi Cas! I believe the gold & silver and flue cured will be tabacco flavoured. Not totally certain though as I haven't bought a baccy flavoured liquid since I started vaping, went straight onto the fruity and sweet flavours. You've got a good mix there though, and if you find you're not that keen on the baccy ones you can mix them in your clearomiser/tank - baccy and cherry, baccy and caramel, even baccy and apple. Go wild! I've often mixed ready-made flavours and used to prefer them to the single flavour ones. I've started mixing my own now though. I'm also developing a liking for shiny things. LOCK AWAY YOUR CREDIT CARD!!! Seriously though, good luck with your vaping. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I haven't smoked a single rollie since I started, and haven't even wanted to. No cravings, no hassle, no biting people's head off (well, no more than usual!), I feel loads better and I no longer stink! StS

I find it's easy to lose track of time while mixing so make sure you a) go to the loo first, and b) put your grundies on the right way round!
