is it just me who sees the face on the vamo with the buttons or am i really a touch loony? It's not just you! I think it looks a bit surprised, like it's saying 'ooooooooh' at you!

As with pets and children, you should wait and meet your Vamo before you choose a name. Take a good look. See what kind of personality it has. It will name itself!

Eh up Ryan! I've been using these to make a basic but effective VC. 15% CCW Custard, 5% CCW Vanilla. I then add a couple of drops of home-made sweetener (Stevia powder dissolved in ... erm ... I think it was VG!). Works for me - tastes of both vanilla AND custard. Been trying to make a choccy custard using their flavours but haven't managed to get it right yet. If you do, SHARE! PS: I'm going to a gig at the Parish on Saturday. Come along and buy me a glass of pop and I'll bring you 30ml. Be nice to meet you and Mrs Ryan.

My ouch: I once through a fag end out of the car window, which came flying back in and landed behind me in between me and the seat. I was driving along a dual carriageway at the time with nowhere to pull over. I had a small round burn at the bottom of my back that hurt like hell for weeks!
Thankfully I've broken the habit. Not just smoking, but so far I've resisted the old habits and haven't chucked my Vamo out of the car window!

Hve been through eGo batteries, and now settled with my Vamo - it does the job I want it to do cheaply, no fuss, and my big 18650 lasts 2 days - what more could a bloke want!? I have no desire to go larger (if that's possible!), and my clearos and Novas work really well, so have no desire to change them either. I've reached my vaping plateau, and there's a great view from up here! Andy I think we're on the same plateau. Hello over there! I'm not sure how long I'll be here though, I may be climbing the next hill soon - I'm thinking of getting an Aga-T or similar. Funds are stopping me at the moment. That, and nails that are probably a bit too long for fiddly coils and I don't really want to cut them down!

Local market stalls (we have one in our shopping centre and a TW shop in the middle of town) are good to have in an emergency, but I'd always rather buy anything from a reputable vendor on this forum, which is usually cheaper than buying from the stalls and also has come-back/customer service. I trust this place to save me money and prevent the hassle of having to deal with any cr@p from a vendor!

From my home mixing experiments I can say that the % of flavouring you use will depend on the particular flavour. Personally, I start at around 20% and then work my way down if I need to, but working up will probably be just as easy. Generally, I find some of the fruit flavours need a lot less then 20% (still experimenting with watermelon, but looks like 8-10% will be enough). Trying things out and adjusting them if you need to is half the fun of mixing your own though. Just go for it and find out what works for you. I'm lovin this mixing lark, it's great fun!

I've had a look at this and found it useful: whyquit.com/whyquit/a_benefits_time_table.htmlI suppose it's all down to how we personally feel about vaping. I know that I feel healthier. Whether that's true or measurable I'm not sure that I care, I FEEL better. That's enough for me!

Comment on the Peugeut/Renault thing: It's not that they are really any less reliable than any other make, the problem lies with them being a pain in the a##e to work on due to the engine/gearbox layout and the price/availability of parts. They generally come in about 40-50% higher in labour charges because they take that much longer to work on. Also most of the time you need a part it has to be ordered from france! I've had 2 Renaults - why I bought the 2nd I'll never know! As you say, probably no less reliable, but they're a bugger to work on. I had to buy a whole new set of screw drivers for my first one coz they're all star heads. STAR HEADS?! Bloody awkward French! Anyway, I bought a Toyota in 2005 (new from a dealer, only 3 miles on it) and it's been fantastic. I know others who've bought various Toyota models and have been very impressed with 'em - a guy I know toured the UK with anI old Celica, putting 40k on it in less than 4 months, and it was brilliant. Japanese for me now forever I think. Edited to get it back to vaping! Keep trying and don't worry about the odd stinky. I usually keep a clearo to hand with a higher nic content than I usually vape - I'm down to around 5mg now, but I'll keep a clearo with 12mg to hand for first thing in the morning or if I'm having a bad day at work. So far I haven't had a stinky since I started vaping back in November, but I'm not going to beat myself up if I feel like I need to have the odd one. I only smoked 12-15 a day, but look at what I've avoided already (see sig)!

I have no idea of the technicalities, but I use my Iphone charger plug for my Ego batteries and the Xtar charger I use for the Vamo batts. Everything works, and nothing's been set on fire!

OK, so I've checked.... Still not got that much. As hinted in my previous post I'm trying to avoid buying loads of stuff as I'm happy with the Vamo. 1 x 650mah ego battery 1 x 950mah ego battery (thank to Colliwobbles, rescued a damaged one for me!) 1 x 950mah ego vv battery with passthrough 1 x Vamo mod in SS 1 x 18650 battery (for Vamo) 1 x 18350 battery (for Vamo) 1 x Xtar single charger 1 x Ego USB charger lead 1 x Ego passthrough charger lead 1 x mains charger converter for USB leads 2 x Vision rainbow V3 clearos (1.6ml) 2 x Vivi Novas (3.5ml) 1 x Vivi Nova STV in purple (3.5ml) 1 x CE4 clearo (1.6ml) 1 standard Ego low-res atty 1 x rainbow drip tip 3 x old (redundant) tanks from Tornado atty (my first kit) 1 x redundant Tornado atty DIY mixing kit - some in a big toolbox, some in the freezer Load of home-made liquids - 10 x 10ml and 4 x 30ml Half a drawer full of pre-mixed liquids, mostly half bottles or less from before I started mixing. It'll still be a while before I break even on what I would've spent on the rollies, but I'm happy with that. I'm healthier, I can feel that after 3 months. I think I'll probably get 1 more mod, so it'll be summer before I can say I've started saving any money, but I really don't care. I'm enjoying vaping, and have got down to 5mg nic strength, so that's great!
