I am probably looking for something that doesn't exist!! There will be something out there that fits the bill. A scissor-lift pallet truck springs to mind, but they don't come cheap Now that fits the bill perfectly Steve. Just need to find out how much they would cost. I note that one is American. Surely they do it here. I will go google it now I know what it's called. ukric the price of your one would probably be acceptable for the funding, but the metal bits coming out on each side would prevent a wider bit of furniture from being loaded. Or maybe you can remove those strips? I just live my friends on here. Doesn't seem to matter what the subject is, there's always someone who will come up with an answer.

amazon has them for a bout 20 pounds - oh and really nice hobby Mornin' Clivia No, not what I'm looking for. I very much doubt a piano stool would take the weight of a chest of drawers, plus, how would I get it on there? I am thinking more of something that I can slide some kind of platform underneath and jack up the furniture so I can paint the bottom sections of it. I am unable to bend down to do these things which is why I would need it. I am probably looking for something that doesn't exist!!

Whilst I have been away, I have been looking into finding a new hobby to keep me occupied in my new home. I have decided on upcycling wood furniture and other smaller things. I am quite excited as my support worker informed me yesterday that I may be eligible for funding to get me started. Apparently, there's some charity to help disabled people start new hobbies. I came across this stuff on the Pinterest website yesterday. All I can say is STUNNING array of beautiful artwork. It's really given me inspiration. Of course, I shall start off small and simple, but hopefully will move on to greater things. Just a question to throw out to you folks. Can anyone think of anything that could be set up and used to raise bigger items of furniture like chest of draws higher off the ground so I can paint it from my wheelchair? Can't think of anything that would hold the weight and raise it higher and lower. Any ideas?

plusnet is not bad Raffles and cheaper than BT agree with you was with BT,never again, funny thing is PT are part owned by BT lol As for ofcom for all the hassle we had with BT,they sided with us and ordered BT to pay us £25 as a goodwill payment ,should have listened to better half she worked for BT and said not to go there lol We were told that because of all the stress they put us through they would not be charging us the connection fees. Got our first bill yesterday, yep, fees are on it! thankfully, after yet another phone call, they have removed them. they had also failed to install our free weekend calls tariff. As I told them a few times, I dread to think what they get away with dealing with more vulnerable customers like the elderly or sick. I freely admit that on one marathon phone session with them I burst into tears and it certainly isn't a common occurrence for me! I think the sheer frustration and anger just got on top of me.

Was wondering about you when I realised you'd not posted in the move thread with a while. Glad you're in and sorted now and especially glad you're back. What have you missed? Turns out teethcv and ronaldo are twins, separated at birth. Probably. Super-Shiny and his family STILL haven't been placed in a new home. Chrissie, Perpetua, jess and Karma have been saving us from trolls. Pepperty and I finally got to order our new microsticks and are waiting patiently for them to arrive. Roscopecotrain had his thyroid surgery and is home safe and sound now recovering. robby is still trying to tempt us on fasttech. Clivia's beloved Austria won Eurovision, despite Iceland being massive favs (in my mind anyway). fiddles needs spanking just because he's fiddles. Raffles was mistaken for being fiddles at some point. Poor man. @johanino is shopping for her next victim. Poor mod won't know what hit it. @yinyang and lairey are teasing us with their shiny new dragon provaris. Aldo is a lovely man. Met him in Portugal a couple of weeks ago and we chatted the day away over beers and vapes. I'm sure there's loads more, but will save it for others to fill you in on the rest. Glad you're back and hope you're well. Edit to add Jess. KNEW I was forgetting one of them. I should be punished too Wow! That's pretty much filled me in. Well done Dawn. Raffles being mistaken for fiddles sounds interesting Great to read you met @aldo I love meeting the folks from here.

Deepest condolences Ronaldo. Having lost most of my family overthe years I understand how heart wrenching it is. Just do what you need to do and we will be here whenever you need us.

Blownupdolly - it's lovely to have you back; not sure how much you've missed, I tend to assume that nothing's been happening in my absence and starting again from when I re-enter the fray. The important stuff will quickly rise to the top of the list and within 24 hours you'll be back in the loop again! Just be careful to stay away from teethcv's Elites (which for the noobs reading this thread are utterly pants! Chrissie!!) Thanks Andy. Elites??!! WTF? What's up with him? Why is he doing that? Good grief, I better get my whip out.

I am, at last, properly back online! It's only taken BT nearly 4 weeks to hook up a phone line. I reckon they'll be quite good with a bit more practice I can honestly say, I have never had to deal with a more incompetant, anti customer focused bunch of baboons in my entire life!! I won't bore everyone with the details as it would read like a war and peace novel, but basically, their Indian call centre staff have a policy of, if it's a problem outside of my tick box I will cancel the customers order so I don't have to deal with it. Guess how many times they did it to us..? No less than 5 times!! It has ended up with an official complaint lodged with Ofcom. Strangely, once that name came into conversations with UK complaints staff, things suddenly got sorted. Soooo, what have I missed? Using a BT Fon hotspot as your only internet connection reduces you to a quick skim of threads before everything crashes. Is there anyone needing a spanked bottom, or have the usual suspects behaved themselves?
