This is the result of my granddaughters 2hr tree decorating session. Although some would say its a tad over done, she was soooooo proud of her work she spent the rest of the evening running in and out of the dining room just to stand and stare at it. Bless her. I won't be re arranging it as it was all her own work and I want her to be proud of it.

When we lived in Australia, NZERS have the same reputation with sheep as the Welsh do here. Being a kiwi, my husband got sent that pic on a Christmas card from his work mate . I`ll have you know it`s a reputation well deserved, think I`ll sing "Hello Dolly" later Who for, me or gun jack with Dolly the sheep?

You don't need much in the way of encouragement, Blownupdolly! BTW, there's a whole booze cabinet here to go through, so that'd be fine. Do they do a sample pack, as there are apparently quite a few different ones now.... Hmmmm... I might hunt a sample pack down tomorrow then I can decide which bottle to get.

I'm on the Baileys wagon too, (not literally) got to be the tipple at Chrimbo, over ice. With the aroma of a clementine or satsuma being peeled, sweet bliss! Have you tried the chocolate Baileys Jess, its heaven! i had a minature bottle attached to each of my 2 litre purchases a couple of weeks ago, to be honest it tastes too good, it needs to come with a health warning! I was going to purchase a bottle but I know it wouldnt last me a day You are soooo bad Sadie! I have now put the chocolate one on my shopping list for the weekend! jess I'm always up for a party. Don't really care what the drinks are!

Great idea. I like the fact the second one points out that it is legal to vape inside. I imagine a lot of people don't realise this, therefore educating and preventing hassle within the pub.

+1 for pigs in blankets... a few years ago, when we were still doing Christmas at my parents house (now I do Christmas at our house) my Mum made 120 pigs in blankets... there were only 7 of us and 2 of the others don't eat them! They were all gone by Boxing Day night! LOL! We have been told my the motly crew coming for dinner that even though we are having a very expensive Aberdeen Angus beef rib roast, we MUST have pigs in blankets. I have delegated that job to Mr Dolly along with anything else that involves standing near the cooker. I am merely the vegetable peeler.

They mentioned this on the doco last night too. Because of the "sprout gene" thing they were developing the new sprout so that today's kids grow up liking them regardless.

I like everything on the list so far apart from ginger beer and satsumas. I even like sprouts!
I watched an interesting doco last night about how supermarkets deal with supplying Christmas food, and they did a bit about sprouts. According to this scientist, the fact that some people hate sprouts and others like them is all down to our genes. Some people have a gene that makes the chemicals in sprouts taste bitter, but some of us don't have it. Yes, a completely useless piece of information but I found it interesting!!

Blownupdolly, go to your Google search box and type in something like 'xmas dogs', then when it comes up with the results. click on 'Images' near the top of the page. Find one you like, 'right click' on the image and 'save image' to your PC in a place where you can find it later. Try not to use one with copyright text on it, although if people don't use them for profit, there shouldn't be a problem. Then go to your 'profile' on here, and click the 'edit profile' button. In avatar settings you'll see the options, either a standard avatar, or upload your own image. Click on the 'upload' link and you'll see the option to upload from your PC. As long as you can remember where you saved it, just do that and 'bingo'.! I'm currently looking for 'sexy nurses', all down to fiddles influence. Thanks Raffles I think I have something, it may be there until next xmas though lol Thanks Raff, but I use iPad which has a touch screen keyboard which doesn't allow you to right click
