deep breaths, a hard vape, be happy, dont worry you'll get your meat in good time. i could have had a few disasters but i'm too laidback (read lazy) to worry about it all. its one day out of my year and i refuse to let it rule me. saying that, the sellotape last night nearly caused me to hit the gin and tonic You are so right, it is merely one day Re Sellotape, always pay for decent stuff and get a dispenser for it! Dispenser? I have one of those, but it didn't stop my granddaughter managing to wrap half the roll up her arm trying to wrap granddads prezzie whilst I wasn't in the room!

I had opted to do it today so that I would avoid having to go Monday or god forbid Christmas Eve! Sigh... Ok you are right. Is it gin o'clock yet? Ahhhhh, yes, gone midday. Sod it...

How about a place to post your Christmas cock ups? Shall I start? I currently have raging steam blowing from my ears. In fact if I don't calm down soon I will self combust! I have pre ordered all our Christmas meat from Waitrose. They are so busy you even have to book a slot to collect it from the store. Home deliveries were booked out weeks ago. I am due to pick it up a 1pm. I just got my coat on already to go. Got purple Vamo on hand, phone in pocket, wallet..... Now, where is it? After half an hour searching all over the house I rang Mr Dolly at work to ask if he had seen it.....oh yes, of course he's seen it. It's in his god damn coat pocket at work!!! I have no access to any money. I was also planning to get some last minute prezzies. He is locked inside the prison till 9pm, my daughter has gone miles away to visit a friend so can't borrow any from her. I rang Waitrose to ask if I can pick it up tomorrow, but the girl said she couldn't get through to the meat dept as they are so busy, and would have to get them to phone me back. Sooooo, here I am sat here fuming, praying that Waitrose will take pity on me and let me go tomorrow. Surely they wouldn't be mean enough not to allow it? Either way, Mr Dolly is in the doghouse and Christmas hasn't even started yet!

What a shame. I really liked David. RIP. I always remember him, Frank Bough and Dickie Davies from my youth. I have always been an avid sports viewer. Me too. I fear old Frank lost his way after getting mixed up with hookers and drugs. Lucky guy. Ahh yes, I had forgotten about that! Just watched a tribute to him on the news. David really was remarkable. The amount of different sports he eloquently commentated on was amazing. You don't get that these days, and of course the Question of Sport years before Sue Barker. The amount of funny Colemanballs is very entertaining.

Sorry to hear his Phoenix. I hope they get it sorted for you in the new year. Not good to get news like that just before Christmas. Fingers crossed for you

I bet she had a great time. Happy birthday to her.
BTW.... She certainly looks great for her age. You would never put her down as anywhere near 90!

Sky news have cameras there now. The reporter pointed out that the building next door has scaffolding all the way up. There is obviously been building work going on recently.

Strange as BBC News have a guy on the phone who was in the audience and he said it was the roof. All a bit unclear as yet but it only got reported half an hour ago. I so so hope no one is badly hurt.

Just hearing on the news that the roof or upper balcony inside the Apollo theatre in Shaftsbury Ave London has collapsed on top of the audience in the middle of a performance. Is so hope there are no fatalities. Why do these dreadful things often happen so close to Christmas?

Happy birthday to all.
Yes, it is getting hard @chrissie. Since Esme became unwell and no longer comes online, it only leaves me and beautycat. She works a full time job, and i try my best, but as you know yourself, having a chronic illness, truck loads of medications and the fact I have had a fair few family dramas recently means I often just forget! Pure and simple no other excuse than that. I get brain over load lol!
