The sound advice already given should stand you in good stead.
Keep it simple to start with and find out what you like, when you do start to upgrade keep the basic kit handy in case of emergencies.

Super-Shiny, that looks like it will be a cracking build. I may have to do one myself.

I am not familiar with the DNA20 or their charging board so I don't know if they have the correct charging capability for multi cell Li-po work.
The correct charger will be rated for at least the number of cells in the battery.
It has to have a separate channel to monitor the state of each cell during conditioning and charging.
To give you an idea of the safety importance think non-matched stacked cells in a mech mod....
You can buy hard cased Li-Po batteries which are more robust but the charger still has to be right.
Google is your friend on this one.

I use an Efest LUC for all my mod batteries, great little box and you should be able to find it for a few quid cheaper. Single USB out but it works from the mains or batteries and you can charge 2 batts and an eGo at the same time.

Sounds like an interesting mod Super-Shiny, although I have no idea what you are making.

I just wanted to advise caution when using soft skinned Li-Po cells/batteries.
I have used them in aeromodelling for a number of years and they can be unexpectedly volatile.
Not sure what your experience is with these batteries and I'm sure you've done your homework but safety first is an absolute must.

Make sure you have a top brand dedicated Li-Po charger with full conditioning and individual cell monitoring functions.
Always charge them in a metal container (old ammo boxes are good), or outside.
They release a massive amount of gas when cooking off and can burst open a charge safe bag.
Don't puncture, bend, dent, drop or otherwise compromise the outer wrap.

If you hear a noise like water boiling or steam escaping, feel heat, see a bulge, etc chuck it outside and walk away.

Although I abuse my other cells/batteries I've never had an issue.
I've had a couple of Li-Po's go thermal on me and it's no fun, these are not to be messed with.

davelockin, if you fancy sharing your template/PSD or whatever I can have a play around with some new statements.

If you do several davelockin, each with a different part of the message I think folk will pay more attention to new ones as they come along.
