It was worth staying in for the postie this morning
He arrived with 5 parcels (I love clicking the 'pay now' button) including one from Vapor Station with my stasis 901 and juice, and the other from OKSmokey with my prefilled carts. Fantastic service from both companies, considering I only ordered on Saturday.
After reading the instructions about charging the batteries for 8 hours each, I completely disregarded this and remembered Lilac posting that the batteries come with a good charge.
So, I am now vaping - and it's great. Now, I realise all of you know it's great and don't need a newbie like me to tell you, but I honestly didn't expect to take to it so quickly and easily.
After a short vaping time and then a break, I really fancied an analog. I hummed and hawed for a bit then gave into the spoilt brat inside me, who was beginning to stamp her feet about not really caring whether I gave up or not, so long as she could have a cig. I took 3 puffs and put it out - even the spoilt brat was silenced.
SO, I had my last full analogue at 10.30 this morning and now it's now nearly 3pm. OK, so I'm not exactly going to go down in record books yet, but it's a start. I am still carrying my analogues with me and there is an open pack on the desk in front of me, but I'm not tempted at the moment.
So far I have tried the pre-loaded carts (quite smokey) the cream soda, VS frost & VS london - all good so far, although I am not someone who is terribly fussy about likes and dislikes - there are very few food flavours I don't enjoy.
Let's hope this is the start of a beautiful relationship!

Unbloodybelieveable
My OH has just come in from washing the van and, as I am unloading the never ending piles of clean undies from the tumbledryer, commented how he misses smoking due to the fact there is never a reason for stopping work - ie no longer requires a fag break.
He then went on to say how he misses it and how in the mornings he is tempted to have one of mine (I shall be hiding them from now on!), with a view to it not effecting his whole giving up smoking effort.
Aha, thinks I, as I put another pair of my 8 year olds knickers onto the pile, now is the time to tell him of my intended plan. So I give him a brief overview of the electronic smoking thing and tell him that I have ordered and intend to start next week.
What does he say? He smiles and tells me that I am a mental midget as I cannot give up smoking without a crutch. It was at this point I gently reminded him, with a sweet smile, of his 12 weeks on Champix as his own personal mental crutch and what a complete and utter to**er he was for every single one of those 84 days and beyond.
Exit stage left, one chastened and very quiet OH while I nearly collapsed from holding in the laughter. She who laughs last most definitely laughs longest.
I am now even more determined to make vaping work for me!
Sorry, just had to share

Yes Jackie, you can seal them . Each cart comes with a fairly tight fitting plastic cap & if you replace that after re-filling each time, they shouldn't leak (as long as you don't over fill them). No the refilled carts don't have to be used immediately. Brilliant, thanks for that information. Hopefully I'll be able to prefill some at home in the evenings ready to take out the following day, using the prefilled as back up for the days when I am not organised - which is pretty much every day I am really looking forward to getting started - I am feeling self conscious every time I smoke a regular cig at the moment - and that's just at home! I think it's because I have got my mind geared up for stopping. It's very odd, a week ago I had no enthusiasm for giving up, now I can't wait!

Thanks for that Foxy. I noticed it was cheaper to buy 25 - how mad is that? I went for 25 tobacco just to get me going as I am not confident about refilling - especially after reading about Lilac's problems with opening the bottles from Vapour Station Would I be able to refill the carts at home and seal them to take with me or do they need refilling and then using immediately? I can't work out whether it is possible to seal them (yes, I am blonde) I'm looking forward to my delivery and am planning to start work late on Tuesday so that I can wait home for the postie - although they are bound to arrive on one of the days I need to start early!

My Gp wouldn't prescribe Champix to me as I've a history of suffering from depression. Chrissie, after living through 12 weeks of OH on Champix, I would be tempted to send your GP a 'Thank you' card

Their delivery does seem very quick. I'm kicking myself now that I didn't order yesterday as I had initially intended - I could having been sitting here vaping as I type I've ordered some prefilled carts from oksmokey. I'm very impressed their UK postage is free. Now to break the news of my purchases to my OH. He gave up smoking before Christmas on Champix - he smoked twice as much as I do and used Old Holborn - now he has the cheek to tell me I stink I was intending to try Champix myself, but after observing him on them I'm fairly sure there would be a murder committed if I attempted to take them.

Well, I've finally placed my order- with VapourStation!
As much as I fancied the Janty, the VaporStation prices were too tempting, and if I get along with vaping I'll invest in the Janty another time.
I've opted for the 901 as it comes with a USB charger and I have a USB port in my car, so it sorts out the 'charging on the move' problem.
I've also ordered quite a few different flavours to try - at 3.50 a bottle they seemed worth the punt. With the 5% off code my order came in at less than fifty quid delivered.
I'm still dithering about where to buy some pre-loaded cartridges, so any suggestions would be welcomed.
Thanks for all your help and input so far - I shall be reporting back next week!
BTW - I have signed both petitions and will be forwarding the links onto friends and family.

Thanks for your replies and friendly welcome I can't believe I just ignored the fact all coffee and liquorice is out of stock! What an eejit! I am a coffee addict - I drink gallons of it, black, no sugar, 4 teaspoons of strong instant, so I'm hoping the familiarity of the taste will help me adapt to vaping with ease. However, the lack of stock is going to scupper this particular cunning plan! I'm off to have a look around for some other suppliers/flavours - I don't see the harm in ordering my juice (trying to pick up the lingo!) elsewhere? In the meantime, I have been looking at the Janty Stick V3 www.ivapour.co.uk/janty-stick-1/janty-stick-set/janty-stick-v3.html due to the fab battery life - any views or thoughts on this one?

Firstly, thanks for this brilliant resource. I know there are other forums out there but this one seems so friendly and relaxed with heaps of information - and the only one I feel brave enough to post on! I have spent the last 24 hours researching and now feel ready to take the plunge - as Scylla says "JUST GET STARTED" So, in my OKsmokey basket I have: A titanium starter kit Extra (so 2 batteries and 2 atties) A 25 pack of pre filled cartridges (tobacco high 18mg) - I work 'on the road' a lot and don't want to be worrying about re-filling until I have the knack. A mixed box of 5 x 10ml samples Coffee High 18mg, Liquorice High 18mg, Mint High 18mg, Vanilla High 18mg, Coffee Extra 30mg I usually smoke a pack of Marlboro lights a day, and have done for years and have never attempted to give up before. I'm going to buy some glycerine (?) at the chemist today, in case these are too strong - especially the 30mg! Does this order look OK to get me going? I am concerned that if I get it wrong to start I will be less inclined to persevere. Your advice and opinions would be most welcome before I click the 'pay' button Thank you
