Just read "E-cig central thread" posted by djs which prompted me to Google all about e-cigarettes. Near the top was a link to Nicotine in electronic cigarettes: 10 facts all users should know. Now this could just be a ploy to get people to click and buy products from the site but it could be worse. A common ploy of hackers is to set up a site labelled "10 facts..." the reasons are that it is proven that people are drawn to click on such links and it is easy to find 10 facts so that the site doesn't seem suspicious. Malware, Spyware or viruses can then be downloaded onto the unsuspecting user, sometimes directly from the site sometimes from a link on the site.

If you remove the top cap while the IGO is in the Vamo or other device you will damage the 510 threads because you are putting them under stress. If you first take the IGO off the battery and hold it by the tread when you remove the top cap this will stress the tread shaft and the insulator. In time this will cause a problem. The only safe way I have found to remove the top cap is by using my finger nails

Come on peeps be clear about what you say.
"I started on 24mg" I think what you mean the nicotine level of your juice was 24mg/ml not 24mg.
The EU is talking of a limit of 2mg of nicotine in a singe cigalike (I think) and a limit of 4mg/ml for ejuice.
Vaping 3ml a day of 18mg/ml eliquid works out at 52mg of nicotine per day - although not all the nicotine will be absorbed into the blood stream.
24mg/ml = 2.4%.

The mesh has the advantage that you can change liquids easily - the taste doesn't carry over so much, you don't need to rinse it out or anything. When it runs out of juice you can put in a new liquid. You need to cut a piece of mesh about 12mm X 30mm to make a 12mm long wick. Roll it around a straightened paper clip and heat it with a cigarette lighter until it glows red, this will stop the mesh conducting. Then coil 4 turns of Kanthal round it. One end of the mesh needs to be touching the base of the IGO - so long as the end is just touching, the mesh wick will soak up the liquid just fine. This is considered advanced but it is not very difficult, still don't try it unless you like the idea of experimenting with mesh and coils. With the silica it is v easy. |
