Hi,
Done the usual newbie trial and error thing and I have discovered I dont get on with clearos with wicks (tho bottom coil such as Kanger T3s work for me) and I have some juices that I'm not so keen on. So rather than bin them I thought I would see if someone wants to swap. I'm open to anything, apart from wicked tanks and dont really need more juice except RY4 & Vanilla Custard, so if you have anything in your drawer that seems worth the swap let me know.
There is: 1x Mini Nova set - unused - boxed with the 3 different heads 1x Mini Nova - tank and 2.4ohm head - unused & sealed 2x Kanger T4 - 1ml, unused & sealed - old version I think with short wicks at the top 1x Vision Nano - 1ml, unused and sealed - old version I think with short wicks at the top
5ml 18mg Roast Coffee (Paradise Vape) 5ml 18mg Strong Cinnamon (Paradise Vape) 5ml 18mg Whiskey (Paradise Vape) 5ml 18mg Chocolate Caramel (Vapor Juice UK) 5ml 18mg Ginger (Vapourtine) - this bottle looks a little smaller than the others All the juices have a couple of drops taken from them
Send me a pm if you are interested.
Chris

Freeware called mpeg streamclip will transcode pretty much any format to any other format. A bit fiddly to use but you can control all aspects of the output video, including quality and file size. I dont know Vimeo or whether they have any constraints on videos you upload. In general avi (xvid codec) and mp4 (x264 codec) are the most widely compatible video formats

Just wanted to say how intuitive the new forum is; far less searching for tabs or links. Great work Chrissie

Thanks Dave - got it now. I'm looking to use the same type of batteries in the Lavatube and the Bolt - my battery management skills are stretched as it is.

As well as at the top obviously. Would be useful when reading a long thread. Chris

Can I bump my own post? I would still like to know whether this is true in general. Is it safe to use batteries with any mAh value provided they are above the manufacturer's stated threshold (usually 650 mAh)? Thanks for the advice about the 18650s Chris

Hi,
I'm not quite a newbie but there are still questions where I have no idea what the answer is. Vendors sell batteries with a bewildering range of mAh values. I want to buy some new 18650s and see VapeEscape sell them with 2000 and 3400 mAh values. I now have a Bolt (with extension) and a Lavatube VV (the first one I assume). Is it safe to buy batteries with any mAh value provided they are above the manufacturer's stated threshold (usually 650 mAh)? And if anyone can tell me whether the slightly bigger 3400 mAh batteries fits my kit that would be great.
Cheers
Chris

Hi,
I have 2 smoktech Bolts but one seems to draw a lot more air than the other. I have blocked 2 of the airholes on the top of the 510 body thread with lip balm and this seems to help a bit. Is blocking these holes the best solution? If so can anyone suggest a better but not permanent way of blocking the airholes? Or are there other things I should be trying? I am using 3.5ml DCTs.
Thanks
Chris

They should be fine. Check if they're protected, if not try not to let them run down too much as The Bolt has no protection of it's own! Thanks. I feel reassured. They are Truefire protected batteries.

Hi,
The Bolt comes with 18500 1500mAh batteries. A mate has some spare 18500 1800mAh batteries. Are these ok to use on the Bolt or will I fry something?
Thanks
Chris

The point I want to make is a political one, not a comment on the quality of their products.
E-Lites are a mass-market product and from the posts I have read I get no sense that AAEC members are interested in the mass-market. Instead we seem to delight in the huge variety of vaping kit and juices that only small scale producers can provide. However, I think that through sheer financial muscle and marketing reach E-Lites will get more people on the path to vaping than enthusiasts like AAEC members ever will. While 99% of E-Lites users will not become enthusiasts they are all potential enthusiasts. E-Lites could, in time, easily increase the number of e-cig users by a factor of 100,000 or more, and the 1% of that number who become enthusiasts will support many more mod-makers and juice-mixers for us all to enjoy. E-Lites are our recruitment agency.
Strategically it might make sense to try and persuade E-Lites that the vaping community is their friend, providing an outlet for enthusiasts in a way that a large company cannot satisfy, adding variety, colour and the "geek factor" to what could otherwise be a rather dull marketplace.
I'm sorry if this argument has been made previously and better on the forum. I'm a new member and while I did check back a few pages in this section I haven't read all the campaigning posts. I have, however, read a lot of posts in other sections which knock E-Lites in passing, and while I'm sure these are genuinely held opinions, the collective impression they give is that the vaping community is anti E-Lites. With pressure from the health lobby in general the e-cig market is going to boom and I think the vaping community should try and ride the wave.
