Thanks All have taken 20 years off the life of my lungs and more to come

Hi guys wanted to let you all into some great news i got on thursday i did write a very long post on thursday about it but i tried to spell check it and after an hour of writing i lost the whole bloody lot and could not be bothered to do it again:)

So here goes for my second atempt, i was diagnosed last april with COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) at the age of 39 which i thought was just another ploy of my doctor to get me to quit smoking so took no notice as usual and continued to smoke 60 marlboro gold a day to as i thought help me through my stressfull life.

Now in january i got a letter to goto the chest clinic at my doctors to get a flu jab when i arrived the lady said (oh you have been diagnosed with copd) to which i replied yes they are just trying to get me to quit again, the lady looked at me disgracefuly and stated i dont think you realise that once you have copd it will never go away even if you quit but if you do quit it will stop it progressing quickly, with that i asked for some literature on copd and went home and looked into copd deeper which opened my eyes up on how nasty it could become.

After that little scare i started to take it seriously and looked into vaping then found you guys and lurked in the background for a while,i then went to the local market and got a starter kit which progressed into a vamo with vivi novas and then onto many other toys and a whole lod of juices.
Anyway a week or so ago i was on vapourarts website as i had just bought a gp paps and i was reading their news when it took me to a link which was a survey to help fight for vaping a couple of pages in it started to ask me health questions etc, i then thought to help with this european survey fully i should get another chest check up as i was then at the three month stage smoke free.

So on thursday i went for my checkup and explained to the lady that i was three months smoke free and it was all down to vaping did she have my last test results and could we compare, she got the results up printed them off then proceeded to run me through another spirometry test, after the first go she asked if i was using an inhaler which i replied no and so she got one out made me take four puffs and do the test again.
I then asked her how the test went and she was quit puzzled she said that my tests were now showing normal spirometry and that my chest had gone from an age 76 last year to age54 this year and no sign of copd.

At that point i could have picked her up twirled her round and gave her i big kiss and cudle and i told her so in which she replied with a smile and said she was impressed with the results too, i then asked if i could have the copd removed from my file to which she replied that she wants to do another spirometry in 6 months as it takes a year for lungs to repair fully.

so there is my story so far guys and its also the credit of everyone here that has helped me along the way not only with advice but also encoragement and support.
I only hope that there is more stories with happy endings like mine to follow as i am over the moon with my news so far and my next step is to work on my cardio as i wanted to crack the stinkies first before i took on really pushing myself physically.
I hope this artical helps others that have been diagnosed with copd to take the next step and get vaping as you have nothing to lose and everything to gain even if you dont get a result like mine i guarantee it will atleast improve.

i received mine today from the coop buy, i also have the gp paps and its a little larger than the paps but a nice unit the paps has a bottom button where this is side the firing button is a little stiff and sharp round the edges but for the money its still a good unit definately a secondary stealth mod for my paps but however i have forgot to lock my paps a couple of times and stood it up and nearly burnt everything out so they both have plusses and minuses:)

I know that feeling my postie comes at midday the bugger doesnt he know people work and cant sign for stuff then:) i hate having to wait for the next morning to goto the office with my card and passport as i have to go straight to work after and no time to play with my new toys:)
On a serious note i did have a pressure test somewere il have to try and find it if my problem continues however i have hidden the high nic content juice for now so hopefully i should be normall from now on:)

Yes i think the high is 24mg and i have been on 15mg for a few weeks so it may explain the effects it had on me atleast i know what has caused it however if i was smoking i probably wouldent of had a clue:)
