I was also a 10 Motives user until "Converted" on this forum. It took a while but now I love my Riva, different cartos and clearos etc and still trying out loads of different juices. Stick with it and I am sure you will grow to love it. I still have my 10 motives batteries and a load of empty cartos which I refill and use occassionally when I feel a discreet Cigalike is necessary (the odd posh "do")

I started with 50/50 needing the big throat hit to stay off the ciggies but now much prefer 70/30and find it smoother

Another Satisfied Riva Vaper Your guide must be working well mate, we haven't had many questions when the kits turned up. Loving all this happiness. Yes, The guide is brilliant. I printed it off for when my kit arrived. Vaping in no time with no issues except for a few sticky fingers (bit more patient with the dripping now). Must say the instructions that come with the kit could be vastly improved - especially for beginners.

Following all the incredible advice on this forum I have just taken delivery of my Riva 100 deluxe kit and some sample juices. Impatiently waited for the battery to charge and filled a cartomiser and a clearomiser.Having been on 10 Motives cig alike for a month I couldnt believe the difference. Tons of vapour, loads of taste and a throat hit just like real tobacco. What a great piece of kit - I'm hooked already and will now commence trying out all the different juices available. I would never knock the 10 Motives though as they got my off smoking and into vaping in the first place and my wife is now trying them to get to where I am now (hopefully). Incidentally i refilled a 10 motives cartridge, put on a drip tip and it is a massive improvement on their pre-filled cartridges. This is a real bonus as I can now continue to use the 10 motive cig alike in my local country pub (If i fired up the Riva there they would think I was on crack cocaine !). For anyone dithering about the step up from cig alikes just do it as you wont regret it

Sincere thanks to everyone who replied to my initial post. Great advice which helped me to sort through the minefield of everything available. I have now ordered the Riva 1100 kit and some sample size juices as the general advice pointed to this. Also got 10% off using the discount code on the forum - It just gets better!
No doubt I will be back on again for more advice as I progress with this kit. Thank you all once again

Hello and welcome You can fill the 10 motives cartos that go on the rechargeable (I've done it.) I actually quite liked the cig-alike apart from cost of pre-filled carts. The battery life was dreadful as well. Kibbster: thanks for info. As I wish to stay with "cig-alike" for now, is there a better system than I have in terms of battery life & refillable carts. Any particular specs I should be looking at?

Welcome Beresfordquail and congratulations on your success so far. As Karma says, you can refill it if you can get the cap off without destroying it. If you do destroy the cap, you could replace it with a drip tip like www.vapeescape.co.uk/ribbon-drip-tips~308But you'd be better off buying a different battery, and also better cartridges (usually called cartomisers) or a tank (clearo) to hold the juice. It is best to get something more cigar-sized than cigarette-sized, which is why the posts above recommend the Riva and Ego. If you don't think anything bigger than a cigarette is going to work for you then you can still do a lot better than the 10motives - www.vapeescape.co.uk/innokin-aio-pcc-kit~299 for instance is much easier to fill and gives better taste and throat hit, and much cheaper in the long run. excuse my ignorance but the battery on the kit you refer to looks the same as mine> is it more pwerful than 10 motives?> at the moment I would prefer to stick with more of a cigarette style size as my primary motive is to give up cigarettes and so far so good

Hi - I am brand new to this forum. I have been using 10 Motives e-cigs and cartridges for around a month now and have only had a few real smokes during this period and none at all in the last 10 days. I am now interested in buying my own liquid. re-filling etc as imagine this would be cheaper. Can I do this with my existing 10 motives system or do I need to switch?
