I've just plucked up courage to ask this one!! But it is bugging me.
On any of the on line calculators for any juice there is always a small extra dilutent of say 1.33ml PG + 3.33 ml VG. Question is why? If the nic base is say 50/50 PG/VG(and that's the way I like it), why the need for the extra PG/VG ingredients? ????

I find I am waking up in the morning with a VERY dry mouth, almost as if the roof of my mouth is sticking to my tongue. Could this be that I am using too much PG in my mix and would be better off with using only VG? I am drinking more water, so suprised to have this dryness. Currently I started with a 72mg nic PG base of 100 ml. I added 100 ml of VG, making 200 ml of 36mg nic base at 50/50 PG/VG - hope this is right. Then the few recipes for mixing I used call for a small percentage of both PG and VG.
Question is, in my mix can I substitute the PG for VG, or may it be best to further dilute my Nic base with VG and if so what amount hould I use to say turn my 36mg into 18mg with a higher percent of VG. Hope this is clear.

My Nic base is actually 50/50 PG/VG, but I prefer a bias in the final mix towards VG.
Would the final mix be ready to vape immediately - as I'd imagine no steeping necessary?

I have some menthol concentrate, but now want to add some nicotine to make a "normal" vaping liquid. Do I do this in the same way as any other concentrate.
This calculation for a 10ml quantity I got from dot1 5 ml nic base (36mg) 1 ml PG 2.5 ml VG 1.5 ml Menthol concentrate
Could I leave out the PG and add instead 3.5 ml of VG?
I have heard the menthol can be quite harsh, so just want to check before I do it.

You are right about the taste buds padiho..........the last two or three days even my favourite juice tasted like burnt inner soles of my trainers!!! Disgusting. But I made up some menthol and sweetened it a bit ( I have a very sweet tooth) and that seems to have put things on the right road again. Can't wait for my first two mixes to finish their steeping, so I can have confidence to make more.

I did ask the question about one of my flavours in another thread, but it seems to have been bypassed .............nobody's fault just a lively thread. But I mixed some Bubblegum and a batch of Caramel blend (both JJ concentrates)......and wonder if someone can give me an approximate time for steeping on both flavours.......they smell great, but I don't want to taste them too early and be disappointed. I did search the forum but did not come up with any info on these two. Many thanks.

Hi and welcome. I'm a newbie too. The patience of the experienced members here is worth its weight in gold, fantastic. Now if I had some gold............but I haven't, so a group hug is best I can do

Thank you very much Carpe Vapor. My mix was very slightly different for 31ml.......but marginally so. It smells good at 15% flavour ..........just need to know how long before I can taste it!

Anyone made a JJ Bubblegum mix from their concentrate? Would like to know how long it needs steeping if possible.
