A huge collection of lock 'n lock boxes in various sizes - one for juices (well, 3 for juices, actually), one for clearos, one for batteries, one for 'bits' like drip tips and replacement heads, one for flavourings, one big one for nic base and mixing stuff. I'm paranoid about the dogs getting hold of something with nic juice in it, so often put the smaller boxes in a bigger box. I was eyeing up a storage thingie in Lidl this week - loads of little drawers for €9.99 - but decided it wasn't secure enough to be safe

I don't usually DO heat, but this time I'm really enjoying it - out in our field with the dogs once every couple of hours, wearing just a T-shirt and knickers (thankfully we're secluded!), followed by a sit out on an old duvet, covered in Factor 30 (me, not the duvet), and then back into the nice cool computer room when it all gets a bit much. I have now reached maximum freckle level on my arms and legs, but the rest of me is still pale blue! Vaping a home mix of lime zinger and lychee - very refreshing (almost as refreshing as last night's bottle of chilled Chardonnay!).

Ours come and sniff the vapour - but the most remarkable change is in one of our cats - he hated me smoking, and would get off my lap if I did (which was not necessarily a bad thing!) - now he's happy to sit there as I vape, doing the 'happy claw' thing on my leg. It hurts.

Siffy, if it makes you feel better - when my first kit arrived, I charged up the batteries (egos), then went to try vaping and nothing happened. It was the same with both of them. Argh, I thought, so phoned e-smokeireland to tell them nothing worked. It was then that they told me I had to hold the button down to vape - doh! Three months later, and I order a 306 dripper from them. The next morning, 'it' arrives, but looks nothing like the 306 on their website - so I email them saying they must have sent me the wrong thing (it looked like the 510 dripper on the site) - no problem, they say, our mistake, we'll send you out a 306 instead. The next day, it arrives, and again, it looks like a 510. I get back in touch. 'Have you tried taking the drip tip off?' they ask. 'Drip tip?' says I. 'Yeah, the black bit'. Ah. Erm. I pull it off (didn't realise it was a drip tip) and there is the 306 in all its glory. I think they dread getting orders from me now It's a learning experience!

The ego starter kit is fine. Relax, it's not that complicated really - 3 months ago, I was totally confused. Each of us have our preferences for starter kits, but a charger, a battery, a couple of clearos (or cartos, but I think clearos are easier to use) and some juice are enough to get you going. Use those for a while just to get used to how it all goes together and works - and you may well find that's all you need for a happy vaping career. On the other hand, you might start wondering about the mysteries of dripping, recoiling, mixing your own juices, modding etc. - but all those things are optional, and an addition to the actual vaping experience. I've only been vaping since March, but I've learned so much from this forum - so you're in the right place - very helpful people here, just ask, and someone will answer you!

Haha staying in doesn't stop you spending DG i've spent £67 online today without moving from my settee on vaping bits & bobs i needed Oh gawd... I am doomed! Am a total shopaholic, but will try to be good after today's splurge (Vamo, battery, charger, x6 tank, driptip(s), dog toys, hair bleach, blue dye for hair, salad dressing, socks). Hair not going totaly blue, just a streak!

I've really struggled when mixing my own - some flavours are overpowering, some fade into insignificance. I finally came up with something that I love (10% doppio espresso, 10% LT Ecigs coffee), plus I'm beginning to get a feel for some of my other flavours, but it's not as simple as it seems. I think you just have to keep experimenting (if you have the patience) and trying different percentages. It's a pain when some flavours don't really emerge until they've steeped for a while, and some interact with others to give unexpected results - but that's half the fun for me - just like cooking with different ingredients that may or may not complement each other. Cooking is easier really, because you get more or less instant results! If in doubt, add chocolate, I think

I'm glad (in a way) that it's not just me that has this problem - I find many clearos give a foul taste when they're new - I think it must have something to do with a residue left during manufacture, cos it seems to clear after a while - I just try not to inhale anything until the yucky taste has gone. Hope you feel better!

Whilst I have been very happy with my eGo set ups, the time finally came when I felt the need to upgrade - or sidegrade, depending on your opinions - (prompted by my lesson in wicks/coiling the other evening). I am now the proud possessor of a Vamo V3, and I'm loving it - currently have a Kamry X6 tank screwed on the end, filled with my homemade Doppio Espresso/coffee mix. I am sitting in a coffee-scented cloud! Went to The Vaping Vault in Brighton this afternoon to ...erm... spend my pennies, and had a lovely time. Got a custom-made drip tip too (as well as a few other drip tips and a purple lanyard for the eGos). I'm now staying in for the rest of the week, 'cos I'm broke, but have enough juice to last until 2014, so no worries there!

I'm in my 4th week of 5:2, on top of the low carbing (more or less Atkins) I've been doing since last August (today being Day 318, I keep a food diary!). I'm low carbing for weight loss (5 stone off so far), and intermittent fasting for the health benefits. My fasting days are Mondays and Thursdays, and I tend to just have one meal on those days, as late in the day as I can bear it. The following day I leave it as long as possible before having 'breakfast' - usually until around noon - and that extends the fast. I'm finding it rather easy - low carbing and the consequent ketosis tends to reduce appetite (I only eat 2 meals a day the rest of the time), so one decent, low carb meal, under 500 cals, in a 24 hr period doesn't leave me ravenous. I have no idea whether it's helped with weight loss, because I've been away from scales since May 21st (will be back in The Land of Scales on Friday), but I'm actually enjoying it - I like the sense of control it gives me, and I seem to think more clearly on fasting days. I'll let you know as soon as I know whether it seems to have speeded up the loss - am within a stone of goal, so things have been going very slowly since around March - not that it bothers me, 'cos am planning to low carb and 5:2 for the forseeable future
