I have some 18 mg nic VG - but don't think I better try swallowing it! I'm finding ice cubes are helping - can't actually do the honey thing as I'm on a low carb diet, else I would. It's just this damn tickle all the time, which turns into a fully fledged cough every time I try to vape. I'm really annoyed about smoking, but am obviously still addicted to the nicotine - I suppose a couple of days of it won't be too bad - and it's good that I don't WANT to be doing this, would far prefer to be vaping. Hopefully I will have found a way to deal with coughs by the next time I get one.

Some of you may remember I had a nasty cold this week - well, it's now turned into an equally nasty dry cough, and I can't bloody vape! I've tried everything from menthol to Grandpa's Cough mix, and every time I inhale I'm coughing my guts up! In desperation I had a stinkie, and that DIDN'T make me cough, which is nuts. The only time I can vape without coughing is after a couple of vodkas, which seem to numb my throat a bit (this is a throaty cough, not a chesty one). Anyone got any suggestions? If not, guess I'll be on the stinkies for a day or so until the cough calms down, but this is NOT what I want to be doing! I'm surrounded by juices, and I can't use them - it's mad.
On the plus side, I would normally be in the throes of a proper chest infection at this point - the fact that I'm not shows what an effect switching from the stinkies to vaping has made. I have NO intention of smoking again on a full time basis, I just need to today to get the nicotine in - and I'm not enjoying it. This too shall pass - and soon, I hope!

I have a Gamucci from way back when - never did get on with it, but I think it still works. I think it must be about 10 years old now. Wonder if it has vintage value?

Off to the LSE meet tomorrow, then Sunday lunch out with the family on Sunday (seemed a good day for a Sunday lunch), and then hoping to get down to the Foodies Festival on Hove seafront on Monday. Weather is glorious here today, I should be out in it instead of sitting at the computer!

It's Elvis' favourite breakfast ... peanut butter and banana fried sandwich I am so glad it's that and not the possibilities I was considering

My mate had something like this built in to her new kitchen (and she's far from being a millionaire) - it dispenses either chilled or boiling water at the touch of a button, and means she doesn't actually need a kettle. I love it, but my kitchen is a primitive thing, without even a sink, so it's not going to appear in my house any time soon. This Aldi thingie might be a feasible alternative - if our local Aldi has them, of course, and if it's not too heavy to transport back to Ireland. I'll go have a look tomorrow if I can find out where Aldi is! Thanks for the heads-up!

Credit card's a bit maxed out at the moment, so was reduced to actually going out shopping today. 3 pairs of shoes, 1 scarf, 4 necklaces, 2 bracelets, 4 lanyards, 1 handbag, 2 pairs of sunglasses later, I am a happy bunny (with rather sore feet!). Nothing cost more than £5 either, and I didn't even venture in to Primark! I do love Brighton when I can be bothered to go there

I've flown twice now with my vaping kit. Batteries have to go in hand luggage, tanks, liquids etc. can go in checked luggage (though beware of leaks, the change in pressure causes everything in a clearo to flood, so I wrap mine in tissues before packing), or in the little plastic baggie for liquids (no more than 100ml in total) in hand luggage. I had to explain to the security people at Knock (Ireland West) airport what my bright pink MT3 actually was, but they were fine about it. I took the kit apart when going through security, then put it back together on the other side, and wore it on a lanyard. I've been using an MT3 + a mini eGo battery for travelling, cos it fits in my hand and makes it easier to stealth vape if necessary. Gatwick (South), Dublin and Knock airports are all vape-friendly, btw, in case anyone's going through any of those airports.

I emailed Southern Rail (or whatever they're called) a while back about vaping on their trains (they're the people that run the Brighton to London, and Brighton to Portsmouth lines), and got an answer today - why they think I'm called 'Tingzhi' and want a refund, I have no idea, 'cos am Jo and don't - but anyway, it's a positive answer!
Dear Tingzhi,
Thank you for contacting us on 14 April 2013 regarding a refund. Please accept my apologies for the delay in our response.
The use of electric cigarettes is permitted on our trains.
If you wish to contact us further regarding your query, please contact our Customer Service team directly at comments@southernrailway.com, by phone on 08451 27 29 20 or in writing to: Southern Customer Services PO Box 3021 Bristol BS2 2BS

Nice haul of flavours there - so far have had 2 'bleah!' attempts (mah GAWD CCW Intense Rose is intense - guess the clue's in the name, will save the mix for future dilution!), and 1 OK, may be better when steeped (that was Maple and DK tobacco) and one OMG I love it - which was Two Apples and Caramel I'm being wilfull, and not following anyone's recipes, just 'aving a go. Steeping is happening with the 2 that worked. I need more bottles!

I arrived at my mixing kit too today (it arrived before me, am now back in the UK). Loving your list of flavours - here's mine: Coffee Chocolate Caramel Madagascar Vanilla Two apples Maple syrup Maple (natural) Pie crust Ethyl Malitol Lemon Meringue Pie DK Tobacco RY4 Double Jasmine Lychee Passionfruit Ylang Ylang Rose Hazelnut All those plus 18mg (aiming for something around 12-15mg) PG and VG bases, plus enough syringes and needles to make my father raise an eyebrow and eye up my inner arms Oh, and a shedload of needle bottles, though think I will need more - anyone know of a high street shop where you can get them? Jen - I've been low carbing since last August - I love to vape carby-tasting juices, it's my secret vice (OK, maybe not so secret now). Carb and calorie free lemon meringue pie - pure heaven! Rincewind - please please let us know how you get on when your stuff arrives - am sitting here and stroking mine lovingly, but a bit scared to actually use it!
