Hmm... £38(roughly)for a Vamo kit in gun black delivered, including 2 Vivi novas 2 18350 batts and a charger. My birthday is this weekend Would I have to pay any extra costs when it gets into the UK? Edit: Or would the stainless steel one be better @£41 (roughly) delivered?

robdelmar I would email him back saying, would he like to Contact Martin Callanan for the latest information on e-cigarettes and ask him how he views the issue, and why he feels that way? It would be better for him to hear it from a fellow conservative, rather than us bombarding him and just ignoring it.

Very good, although it is a copy and paste job, but from Martin Callanan who is very much against the current legislation.

To me that's a balanced argument and very similar to what ECITA are trying to achieve. I think it's just the flavours I don't agree with. I only vape mint (so far) but I still want the ability of vaping different flavours, and many many members do vape many flavours. Now vaping in a public space, I presume that is the same as analogues? Which in itself isn't necessary, but you can understand why they would want to introduce it, and in the grand scheme of things wouldn't be too bad. And as far as regulations, I feel that again what ECITA are trying to achieve is what is needed, light touch, but make it illegal to sell to minors, a little more testing, and no adverts before the watershed and magazines aimed at children (obviously). Now the majority of those are already being self-regulated but just make it official. And with the "may harm your health" warnings. I guess the way EU are going, there will be health warnings on crisps, cream cakes and fast food restaurants. Anyway that's my 2 pence worth. Feel free to disagree

Wow still rolling around the same problem, ECCA is never going to untangle this, they are two conflicting threads they want to follow. You can't play in commercial world and claim impartiality, it's just impossible. I really was only half joking when I suggested earlier that private users need a political group. One that has only a single issue to concentrate on, without being held back by a separate functionary commitment. Vapers for justice could happen, if people really wanted to do it. Lol, there are members saying that RY4, ECITA, VTTV and Smoke Without Fire are doing enough towards the political side, that then allows ECCA to focus on the consumer issue such as dodgy vendors and batteries. And that there will always be some political policies that ECCA need to fight. Then on the flip side, like what has been covered here, is that if the EU does ban/medicinalise e-cigs then there will be no need to have ECCA and that those that are fighting the ban are fighting it for the TA and the majority of the market share is in look-a-likes and therefore will jump at only pre-filled cartos can be sold. And as I have said in ECCAs forums, it's really hard to say which way we should go, I think what it comes down to is who is elected for Chair, and who ever gets the majority vote on their policies then so be it. But what members, volunteers and the committee must do is fully support the Chairman/woman in the fact that, that is what the majority want. There is no point in having a split committee pulling against each other. And myself speaking, as the Treasurer will commit and to support fully whichever route the elected Chair wants to go down.

Just buy in 75mg of nicotine, and stick it in the freezer, start mixing your own now too, it's really very simple. There are many calculators out there, and the mixology section is very very helpful, we won't bite

I disagree jack, I think the majority of sales of e-cigs are look-a-likes. And the majority of people that have heard of e-cigs think of them.
And yeh a carto a week, maybe for a very casual smoker that only smokes when out drinking and such. In the real world it would be lucky to last a day.

No giles he isn't the Chairman, I can confirm that the position is still open. I just do not think voting on it will be within the next week or so. I hope it's not at the next AGM

Can I make a positive observation, this is the longest ECCA thread in this forum. Every cloud. Any publicity is good publicity

Exactly Jemima and that is why we couldn't vote last night. You cant have someone who just rolls in and say I want to Chair. There would be so many non-voters that it would be void (with any luck) and it was wrong of Chris to try and force the voting on us, but instead should have said what MarkS did. But he was caught up in the moment. This is a critical time to get things in motion. There are funds in the account to get moving, just need a leader to lead us.

For 2 years the exact same confusion has been going round in circles over and over again with regards to what a consumer association should represent. If that is not a sign that there is a quite blatant issue that needs addressing for ECCA to progress then I don't know what is! And why 2 parties? Just let trading standards deal with consumer issues as usual and free up ECCA to concentrate solely on the politics If they just openly state "our goal from this day forward is solely focused on the prevention of any possible bans" then everyone is on the same page, everyone knows what they are about and everyone will be able to move forward! Hear Hear. So from this day forward, until the legislation is safe, ECCA shall concentrate 100% on the politcal side of vaping, to represent the consumer. Done
