Thanks for the reply Punisher.
Testing in progress.........
Yep, getting just as hot with the recommended 18350 Panasonic battery inserted.
The spring is gold and I get no battery rattle at all, and VaporBreak say it's the new type of spring (from their webpage anyway).
The vamo is the stainless steel one with the oh-so-lovely button rattle.

Hi everyone,
My Vamo finally came a few days ago from VaporBreak and I was really pleased until today.
It's getting very hot at the top of the battery, to the lower left of the firing button after a 4 or 5 seconds of vaping.
I have tried changing the battery, trying another atomiser (resistance seems to be reading normal), tried cleaning the connectors between battery and atomiser in case of any leak (with isopropyl).
If I remove the atomisers the Vamo doesn't get hot, even with the button pressed.
My precious new shiny has never been bumped, never mind dropped.
All three recommended Panansonic 18650 batteries I have tried are not hot when removed.
I use it MODE2 in watts at around 6watts
Stumped now. Worse still, I'm back to my 4 squid ego battery lol.

Thanks again blakey. Will keep an eye on the classes and will update this thread if I ever manage to source anything. Meantime, I'm here if anyone is selling or hear of one being sold

Ody isn't being made any more, Ithaka has replaced it so there are no waiting lists There will be another run of ggts's in a couple of months though. Thanks for the reply blakey. After reading most of threads in the world on them, I only just figured out they are no longer made. Ooops. So Ithaka it is. I noticed last year there was a 6 month waiting list. Does anybody know where it is?

Looking to purchase the Golden Greek Telescopic Storm but mainly an Odysseus or Ithaka.
Any working condition is good.
Cheers.

Thanks guys! Always nice to have confirmation Just had a quick look through YouTube and it seems this atomiser/tank is good for an Ego battery. That saves me waiting for the Vamo. Now, where's my Grants Vanilla Custard.

Hi everyone,
My 6ml tank arrived today, together with some pre-punched Boge atomisers.
I assembled it without instruction but realised there is nowhere for the drip tip to attach. The only way was to remove the rubber grommet from the top then slide the tip in there. Now it looks like it's ready to go (waiting for my Vamo before firing it up as I'm not sure about my Ego 650mAH battery pack) but now I'm not sure why the atomisers I have are supplied with these rubber grommets with the hole in the middle?
Can anyone shed some light on my confusion?

Thanks everyone, much appreciated I managed to cancel the eBay transaction for the batteries and charger and purchased these instead: Nitecore i4 as suggested by monomach (From ecigwizard usiung 12.5% discount code). £21 delivered. Bargain. 2 x 18650 Panasonic Batteries 2 x 18350 Panasonic Batteries (Both sets from apolloEcigs using 25% discount code) £21.65 delivered. I tried to find the codes again but I got lost in windows tabs and shut the pages I got them from down. There were easy enough to find though. Will update if I find them again. The kids are home now so I ran out of time for today.

Great news for me, the seller will cancel the transaction so I can start again.
Before I go charging off and getting lost in threads again, does anybody have a link to what I should be actually buying (batteries and charger)? Google goes funny when you search for batteries nipples protection!
Is it this charger: eBay Item Number 221200252599

Hello and scs Hi Romelee, Thanks. You can probably guess I read your thread and took your advice on the tank and cartomiser

one more tip pal you will find the vamo bleedin huge in 18650 mode i only ever use mine in 18350 mode so you may prefer to get some 18350 batts instead ifest 900? mah they last best part of a day :-) I purchased them from eBay, item number: 360572479341 It seems the smallest capacity they do is 2600. Is it a pain to get the 3100's to fit properly then? Not exactly sure what bleeding means though? I did notice a lot of members using their Vamo in 18650 mode, unless for cosmetic purposes, but I think I have been wrong before lol.

hi steve and welcome the only issue you may find amongst that lot is the efest 3100 mah batterys dont fit too well in a vamo :-( other than that a great start Thanks for the heads up millerkev. Nuts. I thought I had purchased a highly recommended battery for the Vamo. I think I need to go back to research school if that's the case

Hi Scs, I'm new too here, but everyone is really helpful. They have helped me a lot. I believe you can punch your own hole in the cart with a nail and hammer? but then it's messing about doing it. I think they are slightly cheaper un punched, plus you can still use it unpunched as a cart without the tank. But I'm probably wrong. Am also looking at the Nova, but the mini one. You're right it does get quite expensive, but I keep justifying it against the amount I would have spent on 40 a day anyway just for last week. Once the initial outlay is done, it has to be much cheaper, if I can resist buying more shiny stuff. Haha, it doesn't help when members are modding like there's no tomorrow. The copper/brass combo I found earlier is something else!
