Hhhmnn.. Just read your posts properly and realised you are using XP... So it can't be just a Windows 7/8 driver problem...

I've had the same problem. Originally I thought it was because I was running Windows 8 (which I happen to believe is the worst written collection of code in the history of software engineering). I then switched back to Win 7 Ultimate 64bit. Same problem. So I then tried installing MVR in a VMWare Windows XP machine, and bingo it works every time in XP. So I can only think it's a Windows 7/8 driver compatibility problem.

Thanks for your replies. Womble - can I ask - what is the best charger then? I agree with your moto, and I think buying the best saves money in the long run - but that rule probably doesn't apply to cars as I can't afford a Lamborghini.

At the moment I've been using a Trustfire TR001. But I read somewhere that these aren't good? If the Trustfire isn't safe, what should I be using to charge 18650 batts? I've got 5 batteries (3x Samsung 2600, and 2x Panasonic 3000), so if I charge using USB to the evic I can only charge one at a time, which invariably means it would always be on charge and I could never go outside. Well, living in the neighbourhood I do perhaps that's no bad thing anyway! Would be interested to hear what others are using to charge their 18650's.

Hi - Sorry to post something less cheerful, but a monthly refill subscription!! Jeeeeeeeees. I can't believe it. That really pees me off. That is such a typical sales man con - trying to lock people in to a contract to paying for ever and a day. I really, really, really, really hate monthly contract sales cons like that. Some poor sole who's desperate to quit smoking analogs will end up getting tricked by that subscription thing because they don't know any wiser - then they are stuck in a contract they can't get out of. It's stuff like that which could give e-cigs a bad name.
Why would anyone want to pay a monthly subscription for eliquid when there are so many great shops out there that sell eliquid cheaply and you get all the variety from shopping around! Better still as I've just found out, on this forum there are loads of people to discuss making your own eliquid blends!
Variety is the spice of life baby!
I'm happy with ecigs not being so commercialised. I like the fact I can try eliquid mixed by hand with care and love by a guy with a really long, huge beard, in his garden shed somewhere just outside Emerdalefarm's Ville.

I wonder because I never do! I generally don't get any on my hands or fingers but I suppose there is always the chance that it might happen. When it does I just go wash my hands again. But if I'm going to wear gloves, do I need to wear goggles, a white jacket and have a scientists chemical bubbling pot too? I've got a Johnny Ball Science kit from Salter in my loft somewhere - I could get it out again! Does anyone else remember those science kits? They came with test tubes, loads of ph litmus paper, and a few samples of different chemicals - all with a great big cook book of chemical recipes you could make. Except the recipes were always utterly useless and never did anything exciting.

Drinking plenty of fluids is always good. But you could also try adding 5% vodka to thin your eliquid a bit - I found that doesn't dry my throat so much. I prefer a 50/50 pg/vg mix with a bit of bitter wizard to stop the vg sweetness coming through too much. I find that high PG (70%PG and above) dries my throat out. I don't understand why though because correct me if I'm wrong but I think both PG and VG are humectants and they are supposed to keep things moist, where as a desiccant dries things?
Oooh and the other thing I found is if you are using a wick type atty, then cleaning the wick in vodka or strong alcohol every now and again helps the juice to wick nicely - thus always getting a moist vape.

I've got an evic. I dropped it once and it's not been right since - it decides to power off when it feels like it. Shame really as otherwise they are great products. I love it! I've just bought another one! I particularly like the fact I get such strange looks using it when out and about. My wife thinks it looks like it should belong in a lady's handbag and that when powered on it should vibrate! Doh! oops!

Hi all - Here is a pic of the actual item, I took one out of the box to show you. These are the genuine article and very good. If they don't sell I will probably end up using them again as they are superb.

Hello-
New member here. Been using ecigs for years now. Current setup is an eVIC VV battery mod on 18650 3000mah panasonics, genesis style atty that I made myself. Using my own eliquid blends.
Anyone else into making their own attys?
Cheers, Jim

Hi there - I've got some brand new Biansi iMist Atomisers that I bought and haven't used as I've just started building my own genesis style thing. I have 8x Chrome and 10x Gunmetal Chrome Biansi iMist Atomisers. They work really well on normal or VV batteries. I've been using Biansi imist for the last year and I swear by them. Only switched to make your own atty as I like mods. Biansi iMist are the new cleanable atomisers (tank type) which unscrew and can be re-wicked and cleaned really easily. They include the polished chrome coil part, the plastic tank, and the wick part. 510 thread type. Chrome atomiser £7.50 each including postage to the UK. Gunmetal atomiser £8.50 each including postage to the UK.
I paid £10 each + postage, so grab a bargain. I can accept paypal.
PM me to let me know if you want one.
