Yes I vape very differently to how I smoked, because once you light up a ciggie you don't stop until it's all smoked - when actually you have probably had enough half-way through but you're not going to waste the rest of the cig. With vaping, I can take a couple of puffs, put it down or just hold it, then take a couple of puffs a few minutes later or an hour later, depending on what I fancy. I no longer have the first thing in the morning "urgency" to get nicotine. It feels different now - calmer. I probably vape a lot more often than I smoked, but in much smaller doses each time.

If you did want something more like your look-a-like cig (in that it uses pre-filled cartomisers instead of getting juice) then you could try these: www.cavecom.com/screwdriverSD/shopSD/sdkeyring.shtmlI bought these after finding the look-a-likes rubbish. I have now also bought the kits you are being recommended here, and juices, but I still use my SD keyrings all the time because they're so small, easy and reliable.

You have come to the right place for some excellent help! Welcome to the forum I also strongly recommend a basic starter kit with at least two batteries. I have probably bought a few more spares than I really need, but I am now really just buying juices and it's a lot cheaper than smoking! I started on e-lites so I know exactly how you feel about them not really being up to the job. You won't be disappointed with the suggested starter pack though. Good luck!

I like the JooseJuice fruit flavours I've tried so far. Strawberries & cream is good, as are pineapple, blackcurrant and banana. I haven't even let them properly steep yet either. The taste does develop if you leave them for a bit.

A glutton for punishment, I've made another Fasttech order, for 2 of their small 350mAh "pen" e-cigs. My hubby seems to be on a permanent mission to get the largest vaping device he can hold, while I seem to be always looking for something smaller and more discreet

Hi From my experience cleaning CE4's is not worth the hassle, but it is doable. Maybe I got the wrong ones, but denture tablets made everything taste of soap for me, even though I rinsed well after. I simply rinse most of my clearos with warm water. The heads I stick in a cup and pour boiling water onto them, leave for 30 then rinse and dry. I have learnt how to dry burn (so proud!) without getting that horrid burnt taste left, and I always boil them again after I have. Personally after discovering the iClear16s I haven't looked at another CE4/5 since. I still have the replacement heads I bought ages ago, because the heads just go on and on. Hope that helps a little Thanks dragon. What is dry burning? (If there is a newbie thread about this already I will find it - sorry if it's a stupid question to ask!!) I do now have two mini Davides which are awesome, but I like the CE4s/5s and Evods to try out new flavours.

Hi Johel, some take bits off that will come apart & some just take drip tips & bases off (if they are meant to come off) rinse them all first in hot (not boiling) water then add a denture tablet in to a small bowl of hot water let it dissolve then add your clearos or whatever to the water & leave to soak overnight, then rinse & shake off excess water & leave to air dry on a sunny windowsill on a couple of pieces of kitchen roll & they should be ok. I usually rinse them as i change them & then any flavours are not drying into the wicks. Thanks dinamic22. I might give it a go anyway. I've nothing to lose if they will just sit in a drawer anyway LOL.

Thanks bestcigliquid. I've got some more CE5s and Evods coming, but it just seemed a waste not re-using ones that I've already got. I don't like putting different flavours into the same clearo as the taste gets spoiled (with the exception of menthol, which seems to go with anything LOL) I haven't yet got into getting spare bits and changing wicks/coils, etc. As you say, they are pretty cheap anyway.

Hi everyone I'm still quite new to this vaping lark and am still using new clearos for different flavours. I now have a little pot full of used clearos that I'd like to clean and re-use. I'm sure I read somewhere that you can put them into a bowl of water with a denture cleaning tablet overnight. Is that right?! Should we take them all apart first and rinse them, and can we put a load in together?, then reassemble them when they've air-dried out? Any tips on cleaning clearos (CE4s/CE5s and Evods) greatly appreciated! Thanks

I am still fairly new to all this, but having tried pre-filled cartomisers, CE4s, CE5s, Evods (fasttech versions), Protank minis and now Davide minis I have to say that the pre-filled cartomisers and the Davide minis are definitely the best for not leaking and consistency of draw/flavour. No matter how shiny my kit gets, I will never be without my SD Keyrings with pre-filled cartomisers for my stealth vaping and when I'm driving. I will still use cheapy CE5s and Evods for spares/trying out flavours but my absolute first choice is now a Davide mini. OH uses the Davide Mega and now doesn't want to use anything else. The fact that it's made of pyrex is a bonus, so it won't crack with some of the citrus/spicy liquids. I did find the draw too airy at first, so I covered two of the three air holes with sellotape. Now the draw is perfect every time. I love the Davide mini!

I don't even know what the fasttech tracking thing means to be honest. I ordered on 14th August, was "shipped" on 16th August and the current status is "Despatched to overseas (Country code: GB)" on 22nd August. Still no sign of it LOL!

Blackcurrent and menthol is lovely - adding a bit of liquorice to it is gorgeous too. Jim, any plans to add a liquorice or aniseed to your flavours? Liquorice is one of my favourites. Oh, and popcorn!

I had a go on my OH's Protank mini but I have to say the best I've got so far is the mini Davide, with sellotape over 2 of the three air holes round the base. It's pretty much perfect! Ooooooooooooo. Shiny I always say you can't have too many shiny things and you must have back-ups. And back-ups for the back-ups. And back-ups for the back-ups of the back-ups. My wife thought vaping would be cheaper than me smoking Yeah, my OH says that his current set-up of a Davide on a huge silver £20 telescopic mod (width of a pritt stick and can take short or long batteries) is his holy grail, perfect vape, and the quest can now stop. We will see....!!! On the go at the moment, all with different flavours, I have the mini Davide, 2 evods and 2 CE5s, all on ego batteries. And 3 SD keyrings. I have 5 more spare evods and CE5s coming and another mini pink ego 350 blister pack on its way. I have spares for my spares for my spares and backups for everything. In theory the only thing I need to buy for the next 6 months is juice! By the way, I have now converted about 11 people to the vape and am sending them all your way for juices. Best value and flavours bar none!

STILL waiting for Evods, CE5s and two little pink baby ego blister packs from Fasttech. Ordered 14th August, apparently "shipped to GB" on 22nd August, but still no sign.... OH waiting for another order of Davide and mini Davide. I've fallen in love with them but have to put a bit of sellotape over 2 of the 3 air holes in the base, otherwise the draw is too airy for me. Last night ordered 20 more cartos for my SD Keyrings. I know it's a tiny and basic piece of kit but despite now having a fabulous ego battery and mini Davide combo, I love the SD keyring for driving and stealth vaping at work

As I said we all make mistakes! Hopefully I won't be waiting 4 days this time! I've run out of my 10ml taster of Bubblegum! Turns out my iClear 30's are rubbish for flavour, now its in my Protank its much nicer! I learn from my mistakes so as not to repeat them. Every day I make new mistakes so I'm always learning Yeah the Protank really brings out the flavour. I was perfectly happy with my old tank, decided to buy a Protank2 and now it's all I use. I had a go on my OH's Protank mini but I have to say the best I've got so far is the mini Davide, with sellotape over 2 of the three air holes round the base. It's pretty much perfect!
